About me

I’m a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing psychotherapy in English and Spanish. My approach is warm, collaborative, and integrative, combining evidence-based practices with a space where clients can feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, grief, life transitions, identity, self-esteem, and other emotional challenges. I believe therapy should feel like a meaningful conversation rather than an evaluation, and I tailor treatment to each person’s needs, experiences, culture, and goals.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll take time to understand what brings you to therapy, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you hope to gain from the process. I’ll ask questions to learn more about your history, current concerns, relationships, strengths, and goals, while making sure the conversation feels collaborative and comfortable. We’ll begin identifying patterns, priorities, and areas you would like to work on, and together we’ll discuss an initial direction for treatment. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of how we can work together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring warmth, curiosity, and a nonjudgmental presence to each session, while also helping clients explore patterns, gain insight, and develop practical tools for change. My approach is integrative and collaborative, drawing from CBT, psychodynamic, trauma-informed, and narrative approaches depending on each client’s needs. As a bilingual therapist, I also bring cultural sensitivity and an understanding of how identity, family, relationships, migration, and life experiences can shape emotional well-being. I strive to create a space where clients feel both supported and gently challenged as they work toward meaningful and lasting change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who may feel overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or disconnected from the life they want to be living, but is ready to better understand themselves and create meaningful change. They may be navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, grief, identity concerns, or major life transitions. I work especially well with clients who are open to reflection, curious about the patterns shaping their emotions and relationships, and willing to build healthier ways of coping, communicating, and moving forward.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients identify patterns in their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that may be contributing to distress or keeping them feeling stuck. Together, we work on challenging unhelpful beliefs, developing more balanced perspectives, and building practical coping strategies that can be applied outside of therapy. I integrate CBT flexibly, adapting it to each client’s needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.

Psychodynamic

I use psychodynamic therapy to help clients explore how past experiences, early relationships, and recurring emotional patterns may be influencing their current thoughts, behaviors, and relationships. Together, we look for deeper themes that may be operating outside of awareness and work to understand how these patterns developed. This process can help clients gain insight, improve self-understanding, and make more intentional choices in the present.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I use Trauma-Focused CBT to help clients understand how traumatic experiences may continue to affect their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and sense of safety. I incorporate psychoeducation, coping and grounding skills, cognitive restructuring, and gradual exploration of trauma-related beliefs at a pace that feels safe and manageable. My approach is collaborative and strengths-based, with an emphasis on helping clients reduce distress, build emotional regulation skills, and develop a more balanced and empowered understanding of their experiences.

Narrative

I use Narrative Therapy to help clients explore the stories they have developed about themselves, their relationships, and their experiences. Together, we separate the person from the problem, identify how certain narratives may be limiting or painful, and make space for alternative perspectives that reflect the client’s strengths, values, and resilience. This approach can help clients develop a more empowering and compassionate understanding of themselves and the changes they want to create.

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore ambivalence, clarify what matters most to them, and strengthen their own motivation for change. Rather than telling clients what they should do, I use a collaborative and nonjudgmental approach to help them identify their values, recognize barriers, and build confidence in taking meaningful steps toward their goals. This method is especially helpful when clients feel uncertain, stuck, or conflicted about making changes.
