New to Grow
I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in Kentucky and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Maryland, and I work with children, adolescents, and adults who are going through emotionally heavy or overwhelming seasons of life. My goal is to offer a space that feels safe, steady, and genuinely human where you don’t have to have it all figured out, and you don’t have to carry things alone. I support clients working through trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, emotional regulation, and life transitions, using evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches like CBT, TF-CBT, DBT, and CAMS. At the heart of my work is collaboration we move at your pace, build practical coping tools together, and focus on helping you feel more grounded, empowered, and hopeful in your day-to-day life.
In our first session, my focus will be on getting to know you and understanding what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about what’s been feeling challenging, what you’re hoping to get out of therapy, and any goals you may already have, or we can figure that out together if you’re not sure yet. I’ll also ask some gentle background questions to better understand your history and current support, but there’s no pressure to share anything before you’re ready. My priority is that you feel comfortable, heard, and respected throughout the process. By the end of the session, we’ll begin shaping directions for our work together and talk about what ongoing sessions may look like, at a pace that feels right for you.
What makes my approach unique is the way I blend evidence-based clinical care with a deeply compassionate, human-centered presence. I don’t just focus on symptoms, I focus on the whole person: your story, your strengths, your culture, and the experiences that have shaped you. At the core of my work is a belief that healing happens in relationship when you feel seen, understood, and supported without judgment.
I am best positioned to support children, adolescents, and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, emotional overwhelm, life transitions, and self-esteem challenges. I work well with clients who may feel stuck, emotionally exhausted, or uncertain about how to move forward but are seeking support, healing, and personal growth. My approach is especially helpful for individuals looking for a compassionate, trauma-informed, and collaborative therapy experience. Clients who are open to building coping skills, increasing self-awareness, processing difficult experiences, and creating healthier patterns often benefit most from working with me. I also value providing culturally sensitive and faith-sensitive care when it is meaningful to the client’s healing journey.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
In therapy, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. Together, we identify unhelpful thought patterns that may contribute to anxiety, depression, stress, or low self-esteem, and work on developing healthier ways of thinking and coping.
Culturally Sensitive Therapy
I strive to provide culturally sensitive and inclusive care by recognizing and respecting each client’s unique background, values, beliefs, and lived experiences. I understand that culture, identity, spirituality, and life experiences can shape emotional well-being, and I work collaboratively with clients in a way that feels respectful, supportive, and empowering.
Collaborative Management and Assessment of Suicidality (CAMS)
My goal is to create a supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and actively involved in their treatment process.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I work collaboratively with clients to help them feel more balanced, confident, and equipped to cope with life’s challenges in healthier ways.
Compassion Focused
I provide compassionate and client-centered care by creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard and respected. I approach each client with empathy, patience, and understanding, recognizing that healing takes time and that every individual’s journey is unique.
