My approach stands out because I start where the client is. I think it is important to let the client lead and to support the client.
Special interest in working with those who struggle with ADHD, anxiety, anger, stress, and self-esteem issues. I enjoy working with older teens and young adults that may be working facing life transitions and relational issues. I work best with those ready to be empowered, supported and encouraged to identify ways to work through their problems. I am devoted to servicing clients of various backgrounds and cultural diversities.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT particularly with working with clients with depression and anxiety to identify, challenge, and change negative thought patterns that drives unwanted behaviors and emotions. Through CBT, I help clients review the relationship between thoughts, feelings and behaviors in order to better view challenging situations more clearly and respond to situations in a more effective way.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness-based therapy, such as breathing exercises, is used in practice to help create awareness and identify effective ways to manage stress, anxiety, and release physical tension.
Motivational Interviewing
The use of open-ended questions, empathy, and affirmations is used to help my clients discover their own internal motivation and purpose for changing their behaviors.
