Hello and thank you for being here! It takes a lot of courage to begin the process of seeking therapy services—especially if asking for help is not something you are used to. As your therapist, I strive to create a safe space where you feel empowered and supported as you embark on your healing journey. My passion for mental health and wellness was shaped by my life experience of growing up in a culture that often minimized the importance of mental health. This has motivated me to work towards challenging that narrative because I believe that taking care of your mental health is invaluable. Therapy is a place where you can process unexpected life events as well as a place where you can learn more about yourself, your triggers, and where they come from. It is a space where you can talk about your daily struggles as well as deeper issues that may be affecting how you relate and communicate with the people around you. My approach to therapy is person-centered and humanistic at its core. This means that I show up with genuine empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental stance. I use psychodynamic techniques to help you explore early life experiences that could be affecting your relationships or family dynamics. I also enjoy teaching clients cognitive-behavioral techniques and mindfulness practices.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session will include us getting to know each other and figuring out if I can be a good therapist fit for you. I will be interested to know about your previous therapy experiences and what you are looking for in a therapist. If this is your first therapy experience, I will do my best to walk you through the process and answer any questions you may have. I believe that the trust and comfort you feel with your therapist is so important and can lead to you having a better therapy experience.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

A strength I would highlight is my ability to adapt to each client. Everyone is unique, so I prioritize being flexible and meeting you where you are.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Some of my experience includes working with those who struggle with symptoms of depression and anxiety. I have experience working with different types of grief including grieving the death of a loved one, grieving the end of a relationship or marriage, and grieving relationships we wish we could have with certain family members. I have experience working with individuals who identify as first-generation or second-generation immigrants.
