Life’s challenges are complex and unique to each individual. As a fully Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas, I’m here to help you grow through those circumstances and come out even stronger. Whether you’re feeling broken, lost, stressed, or wanting to work through mental health struggles, I’ll show you how to heal and enhance life in a tangible and practical manner. In addition to my 15+ years of professional counseling experience, I completed my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from The University of North Texas and a Master of Science degree in Counseling and Development from Texas Woman's University. I am highly trained in trauma, dissociation, anxiety/depression, women's issues, and athlete mindset/performance issues. My approach is person-centered in conjunction with techniques within Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EFT/TFT, EMDR, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Art Therapy, and Mindfulness based therapeutic approaches to heal and leverage my clients into their optimal zone of tolerance and success.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

You can expect to feel seen, heard, safe, and important. We will look at how your past has impacted your present day and come up with a plan to move you into a quality life that you love. You will be gaining clarity, direction, support, motivation, and balance.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My purpose in life is love. As such, my counseling skills in conjunction to my genuine love of walking with others through what is important to them is what brings optimal success and healing to my clients.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use cognitive behavioral therapy to identify unhelpful thinking styles and gain insight into the function and outcomes of our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is used to rewire cognitions and somatic distress. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation visually, auditorily, or with bilateral tactile movements to retrain the brain while having dual awareness of trauma. This method uses co-regulation with the therapist to maintain the window of tolerance needed to heal.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

This method is used to look at the whole self and the parts that our mind has created to protect the self.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

This method is used to calm trauma responses and gives a framework for moving through the emotions that arise with mental illness and/or PTSD symptoms.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Method of tapping to balance the meridians of the body especially where trauma is stored.
