I have been involved in the industry since 2017, beginning with an internship at a school-based counseling program in Milwaukee. During this period, I developed skills in advocacy and adaptability to meet client needs. In 2023, feeling exhausted from frequent school transitions, I commenced my doctoral studies in Advanced Studies in Human Behavior (currently ongoing) and enrolled in an adult developmental course. I became deeply interested in the subject matter and decided to transition from school-based services to providing telehealth support for adults. While I continue to work with children, my primary focus has shifted toward adult clients. My preferred aspect of this role is the opportunity to serve clients across Wisconsin in the comfort of their homes. My hobbies are playing and watching softball, watching BananaBall, reading, and crafting.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session will be getting to know you and your history. I allow you to ask me any questions to get to know me and talk about the next steps.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My clients often tell me that I am approachable and that they appreciate my warm demeanor. I have a strong ability to read body language, and I'm open to discussing any concerns I might notice. I enjoy exploring theories and explaining the reasons behind emotions; you can expect me to get a bit enthusiastic about this at times. Additionally, I am committed to advocating for my clients. I have written numerous letters to support their requests for medically necessary procedures, educational needs, or special housing arrangements. I genuinely love doing this, so please don’t hesitate to ask for assistance when you need it.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is an individual who wishes to explore their past, present, and future selves. I do not desire them to refrain from expressing their true selves due to fear of judgment. I am present to listen, provide guidance, and offer support. I take pleasure in perceiving my client as the person they are. I am interested in hearing about their enjoyable vacations or recent transformative life experiences. Additionally, I aim to be a source of support during challenging times. I cannot quantify how many times I have had to advocate for clients or make supplementary calls to ensure their well-being. I am more than willing to undertake these actions if they align with your wishes. If not, that is perfectly acceptable.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT typically involves clients engaging in conversation and spending time together. I may incorporate worksheets to assist in clarifying what is occurring in their lives.

Narrative

Narrative therapy is employed when individuals encounter situations or events that remain unresolved and cannot be addressed effectively through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Depending on the circumstances, an initial approach may involve a comprehensive 'brain dump' to identify prevalent themes, or the development of a timeline to maintain focus. The procedure entails writing factual information for six minutes, followed by composing the narrative for an additional six minutes. During the process, discussions are held to ensure that the individual is not experiencing overstimulation or adverse reactions, which, although infrequent, can occur.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a technique that involves processing memories and situations using tapping movements. This method is used to address trauma, responses that trigger fight, flight, or freeze reactions, as well as future fears.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness can be applied in various settings. We will utilize it during EMDR sessions or if you are feeling exhausted from a poor night's sleep. Regardless of the situation, it helps my clients concentrate and be prepared for the session.
