Abe Ashton
I’m Abe, a psychiatric nurse practitioner committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. I specialize in medication management with supportive, brief psychotherapy.
I combine evidence-based medication management with therapies like CBT, mindfulness, and compassion-focused work with practical guidance to help clients build skills, clarity, and resilience.
I work with clients using approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and integrative therapy to help them better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. My goal is to support motivated clients with medication management and assist in building practical coping skills, fostering resilience, and making meaningful progress toward the life they want to lead.
First session
In your first session, you can expect a calm, supportive environment where we’ll take time to get to know each other. I’ll ask about what brings you in, your goals, and any symptoms or stressors you’ve been experiencing. We’ll explore your history and you’re welcome to share as much or as little as you feel ready for.
Strengths
I create a calm, supportive space where clients feel heard and understood. I combine evidence-based medication management with therapies like CBT, mindfulness, and compassion-focused work with practical guidance to help clients build skills, clarity, and resilience. Ideal clients
“I am a strong fit for clients who are motivated for change, open to exploring new perspectives, and ready to engage in a collaborative, evidence-based treatment approach. I especially enjoy supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and patterns that no longer serve them.
