I help adults gain clarity about their mental health through comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, ADHD assessments, medication management, and treatment planning. Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, struggling with focus, experiencing anxiety, mood changes, or wondering why they continue to feel stuck despite their best efforts. My goal is to identify what may be contributing to your symptoms, provide a clear understanding of what you're experiencing, and develop a practical plan to help you move forward with confidence.
During our first session, we will complete a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. We will discuss your current concerns, symptoms, personal history, medical history, and previous treatment experiences. The goal is to gain a deeper understanding of what may be contributing to your challenges and determine the most appropriate next steps. By the end of the appointment, you can expect greater clarity about your symptoms and a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs.
My greatest strength is helping clients connect the dots between their experiences, symptoms, and overall mental health. I focus on thorough evaluations, accurate diagnosis, patient education, and practical treatment planning. Whether you are seeking answers about ADHD, anxiety, trauma-related symptoms, mood concerns, or difficulties with focus and emotional regulation, my goal is to help you better understand what is happening and identify effective strategies for moving forward.
I work best with adults who are looking for answers and want a better understanding of their mental health. Many of my clients are experiencing difficulties with focus, motivation, anxiety, mood changes, emotional overwhelm, trauma-related symptoms, or chronic stress. They may be wondering whether ADHD, anxiety, depression, or other factors are contributing to their struggles and are seeking clarity, guidance, and a structured plan for improvement.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I use a solution-focused approach to help clients identify strengths, clarify goals, and develop practical strategies for addressing current challenges. Rather than focusing solely on problems, we work together to identify achievable steps that support meaningful progress. This approach can be especially helpful for individuals experiencing anxiety, ADHD-related difficulties, stress, life transitions, or other concerns that affect daily functioning.
Psychoeducation
I believe that understanding mental health is an important part of treatment. I use psychoeducation to help clients better understand their symptoms, diagnoses, treatment options, and factors that may be affecting their overall well-being. This includes discussing topics such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, nervous system dysregulation, sleep, stress, and medication management. My goal is to help clients make informed decisions about their care and feel more confident in managing their mental health.
Supportive
I use supportive therapy to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can discuss their concerns, process life stressors, and explore challenges affecting their mental health. My approach focuses on active listening, emotional support, problem-solving, and helping clients develop healthy coping strategies. Supportive therapy is often integrated with psychiatric care to help individuals better manage symptoms, navigate difficult situations, and build resilience while working toward their treatment goals. This fits well with your actual practice because you're not presenting yourself as a trauma therapist or intensive psychotherapist. You're communicating that you provide support, education, guidance, and practical coping strategies alongside psychiatric evaluation and medication management.
Motivational Interviewing
I use motivational interviewing to help clients explore their goals, identify barriers to change, and strengthen their motivation to make meaningful improvements in their lives. This approach is collaborative and nonjudgmental, allowing clients to examine ambivalence and build confidence in their ability to make decisions that support their well-being. I often incorporate motivational interviewing when discussing treatment options, lifestyle changes, medication adherence, and strategies for managing symptoms related to ADHD, anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I incorporate mindfulness-based techniques to help clients increase awareness of their thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, and stress responses. Mindfulness can be helpful for individuals experiencing anxiety, emotional overwhelm, trauma-related symptoms, chronic stress, and difficulties with attention or focus. I often use mindfulness concepts to help clients better understand nervous system responses, improve emotional regulation, and develop skills for managing symptoms in everyday life.

ShaCarya was open minded, and very intelligent in the way she was concerned of my needs and what transpired during my times of physical, emotional and the trauma I have faced. She listened and was very helpful when I had times of setback when expressing my feelings about the experiences I’ve had.

What drew me to this provider was the introduction she shared for her potential clients on her page. I felt like she described how I felt. Overwhelmed. She made me feel heard and made me feel like she genuinely wanted to help me. I really appreciate that.

I really enjoyed speaking to Ms.Jackson she was very authentic and really took the time to dissect everything I was saying.
