Together, we will work on developing the tools you need to start focusing on the cause of your personal difficulties while building meaningful social connections. Hello, my name is Kyle, founder of Emerald Reflections Counseling and experienced mental health provider who has worked with individuals of all ages. Throughout my 11-year career as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I have provided guidance and support to individuals looking to explore new goals while overcoming challenges with anxiety, depression, grief/loss, and managing life transitions. When working with teens and adults, I become inspired by their strength and openness to put the work into themselves. My person-centered approach allows each individual to feel empowered while being guided along their specific healing journey. My approach is to engage an individual's creativity, passions, and goals all while helping them strengthen their identified coping strategies and encouraging them to develop new skills. Before founding Emerald Reflections Counseling, my experience come from both a small nonprofit organization as well as two large primary care medical centers focusing on behavioral health. From my experience working with adolescent and adult survivors of trauma and problematic behaviors to providing outpatient behavioral health services in a primary care setting, I truly have a well-rounded knowledge base. Along with my clinical experiences, I have spent the last 6 years working in the medical education space, where I have been supporting and educating family medicine residents. If you’re interested in these services, please schedule a consultation with me today. Making the first step is the bravest thing you can do for yourself. -Person-centered approach allows you to be at the center of your healing journey with my guidance and support -Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), is an action-oriented approach to working to stop avoiding, denying, and struggling with their inner emotions. This is meant to lead to accepting your feelings as appropriate responses to pivotal events that shouldn’t stop your growth potential. -Cognitive Behavioral Therapy/Dialectical Behavioral Therapy allows you to identify and understand your thought patterns, explore your emotions, and identify behavioral patterns, and other interpersonal conflicts. -Trauma-Focused approach to help you recognize how the traumatic experience(s) has/have impacted different parts of you and your life.
The strength comes from creating a safe and welcoming environment where being seen and heard is a main prior. By providing this experience, individuals will feel the interactions are meaningful leading to the start of their healing journey. From working with young people to elder adults, from working professionals to the single parent juggling a busy schedule, and from members of the LGBT+ community to those still questioning who they are, I feel that because I have vast experience with people from all walks of life allows me to make those meaningful connections.
