Hello! I am a licensed PMHNP with a DNP degree and over a decade of experience in the medical field. I work with patients of all ages, from teenagers to elders. I'm dedicated to providing comprehensive care through innovative treatments using genetic testing for diagnosis and a humanistic therapy approach to support my patients in a holistic manner.
In the first session, my clients can expect me to actively listen to their personal stories, understand the factors that have brought them to their current situation, and identify the challenges they are facing. After listening attentively, I will take the time to recap and confirm my understanding and then propose a treatment plan to guide their recovery.
With over a decade of experience in the medical field, I have not only acquired the necessary knowledge but also developed essential soft skills to support my patients in thriving. One of my greatest strengths is my ability to build and maintain ongoing clinical relationships with my patients, which, in turn, helps them remain on the path to achieving their mental health goals.
I have a genuine passion for working with clients who are confronting challenging situations in their mental health and have the courage to seek assistance. I am particularly equipped to assist clients who are in the early stages of their recovery journey, helping them create a tailored treatment plan to support their path to success.
I help with managing my patients' medication. I also offer genetic testing to allow patients to select the best medication combination for their conditions. For example, I listen to my patients initially to understand their context. Then, depending on their condition, I will suggest possible medications to them, providing them with the costs and benefits of each medication strategy. Together with the patient, I help formulate the best solution to fit their needs.
I help my patients through cognitive-behavioral therapy. By working with patients using strategies like motivational interviewing, I guide them through the different stages of change. Once my patients reach the maintenance level, I continue to support them with regular follow-up sessions to ensure they stay on track with their mental health goals.
I am Muslim-American and can especially help patients who come from the same background. Additionally, I am a native Arabic speaker, so patients in search of culturally competent care or those who would feel more comfortable speaking in Arabic would benefit greatly from my care.
