Hi! I'm a LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) based in Arizona. I received my Masters from the Arizona State University and have been practicing for 13 years. I know reaching out for help is a big step. I appreciate you considering me to be part of your healing journey! I specialize in working with individuals with several needs, including but not limited to: anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, life stressors/transitions, family dynamic struggles, personality disorders, domestic violence history, postpartum depression/prenatal/fertility issues, self-esteem issues, and trauma history. I am client-centered and want to work alongside you to establish goals that assist you with making progress towards a happier you! I strive to provide a safe space where we can collaborate and explore how to empower you.
We will start our first session by getting to know each other. I will ask you background questions and explore your expectations for therapy. I understand the first session can be overwhelming, so I will try my best to make the process as comforting as possible!
I feel that open communication and creating a safe space is necessary to building a healthy therapeutic relationship. I have been described by clients and those close to me as approachable, compassionate, and nonjudgmental.
I love working with a variety of clients who are in need of a safe space to process their stressors and emotions. My clients are eager to improve, but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed and anxious. I am here to collaboratively work with you to find methods to achieve your personalized goals and to find effective ways to cope.
I can assist you with learning how to change your mindset in order to increase feelings of happiness and to improve your overall mental health.
I believe it is important to regulate emotions, to be mindful, to develop distress tolerance skills and to increase healthy relationships. I have experience with DBT to assist clients struggling with these areas.
