Hi, I’m Myrakle Betancourt, LCSW. I’m a Certified Child and Adolescent Trauma Professional, a doctoral candidate, and the owner of The Myrakle Space. I created this practice with one belief at the center. You deserve a space where you don’t have to hold it all together all the time, and where your growth is taken seriously, gently, and personally. If you’re a young adult figuring out what comes next after high school, college, or a major life shift, I will work with you to sort through the overwhelm, the uncertainty, and the pressure of “having to have it all figured out.” If you’re a professional in a high-demand role, especially first responders or mental health providers, I can help you slow down, manage stress, and address burnout before it takes more from you than it already has. If you’re coming in as a couple or a family, I’m here to help you actually hear each other again. We work on communication, understanding generational differences, and rebuilding connection in ways that feel real, not forced. And if you’re a parent or child navigating school, behavior, or emotional challenges, I focus on giving you practical tools and support so things feel less reactive and more manageable. When you work with me, you’re not just getting strategies you’re getting a space where you can be honest about what’s really going on without judgment or pressure. My goal is to meet you where you are and walk with you as you build something healthier, steadier, and more aligned for your life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

When you come to your first session with me, the goal is simple, I want you to feel as comfortable and grounded as possible, not overwhelmed or like you have to “perform” therapy the right way. This is really just a space for us to begin getting to know each other. We’ll start by talking about what brought you in and what’s been feeling most present or difficult for you lately. You don’t need to have everything figured out or know exactly how to say it. I’ll help guide the conversation and we’ll go at your pace. I may ask some questions about your history, your current supports, and what you’ve tried before, but only as it feels relevant and manageable for you. I’ll also spend time listening for what you’re hoping to get out of therapy, even if it feels unclear right now. Together, we’ll start shaping a direction that fits your needs not a one-size-fits-all approach. By the end of our first session, you can expect to have a clearer sense of how I work, what therapy with me might look like, and what the next steps could be. Most importantly, my hope is that you leave feeling a little more understood and a little less alone with what you’re carrying.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my therapeutic approach is the level of transparency and authenticity I bring into the space. I believe healing happens best when the relationship feels real, grounded, and honest, so I show up that way with my clients, and I invite you to do the same. Our work is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to who YOU are. I also integrate expressive arts techniques when helpful, creating space for reflection and deeper emotional processing in ways that go beyond traditional talk therapy. For clients who desire it, I incorporate faith-based perspectives as a supportive part of the healing process, honoring your values and beliefs as a source of strength and meaning. Ultimately, my focus is on helping you build clarity, emotional resilience, and healthier connections—so the change you experience in session shows up in your everyday life in real, lasting ways.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am deeply passionate about supporting young adults as they navigate the in-between seasons of life after high school, after college, or simply after the version of themselves they thought they had to be. These moments can feel uncertain, but they also hold the power for transformation. I also hold space for those who carry the weight of others; first responders and mental health professionals helping them manage stress, prevent burnout, and reconnect with themselves beyond their roles. For couples and families, my work centers on bridging the gaps that time, experience, and generational differences can create. Together, we build stronger foundations rooted in understanding, communication, and intentional connection. I am especially committed to working with parents and children navigating behavioral or school-related challenges, offering practical tools and compassionate guidance to help each individual thrive. This is a space for growth, for healing, and for becoming—fully and unapologetically
