Hi, I'm Dy'Man Webb, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Alabama. I specialize in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, pregnancy, postpartum challenges, grief, relationship concerns, and major life transitions. My approach to therapy is warm, compassionate, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I believe therapy should feel like a safe space where you can be yourself, speak openly, and feel genuinely heard without fear of judgment. I balance empathy and understanding with honest conversations, gentle challenges, and practical strategies to help you recognize patterns, build confidence, and create meaningful change.

A compassionate, supportive approach to therapy where you can feel heard, navigate life's challenges, and create meaningful change, one step at a time.

Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, adjusting to a new chapter, or simply trying to better understand yourself, my goal is to meet you where you are and help you move toward where you want to be.

First session

During our first session, my priority is getting to know you, understanding what brings you to therapy, and creating a comfortable, judgment-free environment. We'll explore your current concerns, relevant experiences, and what you hope to gain from our work together. There's no pressure to share everything at once. My hope is that you leave feeling heard, understood, and reassured that you don't have to navigate life's challenges alone. My approach is tailored to the needs of each client. In individual therapy, we focus on your personal experiences, emotional well-being, and goals for growth. In couples therapy, I create space for both partners to feel heard while helping improve communication, strengthen emotional connection, and navigate challenges together. In family therapy, the focus shifts toward understanding family dynamics, improving communication, and building healthier relationships. Regardless of the setting, my goal is to foster trust, encourage meaningful conversations, and support lasting change.

Strengths

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a warm, welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves. My personal experiences navigating motherhood, postpartum challenges, and life's unexpected transitions have strengthened my empathy and reinforced the importance of feeling genuinely heard and supported. My therapeutic style is compassionate and honest. I believe there is a time to simply listen and hold space, especially when someone needs to process difficult emotions, but I also believe meaningful growth sometimes requires being challenged. I'm not a therapist who will simply agree with everything you say. I'll gently encourage you to explore different perspectives, recognize patterns, and challenge thoughts or behaviors that may be keeping you stuck. I approach therapy as a collaborative process. We'll laugh when appropriate, have difficult conversations when necessary, and work together to develop practical strategies that support your goals. I want you to leave our sessions feeling understood and equipped with the insight, confidence, and tools to make meaningful changes in your life.

Ideal clients

My ideal client is someone navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, motherhood, or a major life transition who is seeking a supportive space to process their experiences and better understand themselves. I especially enjoy working with women experiencing pregnancy, postpartum challenges, identity changes, and the emotional complexities of balancing their own needs with the expectations of others. I work well with individuals who may feel overwhelmed, stuck in familiar patterns, or uncertain about their next steps but are interested in gaining clarity, building healthier coping skills, and creating meaningful change. You don't have to have everything figured out or even know exactly what you need from therapy. I value clients who are open to self-exploration, honest conversations, and personal growth, even when the process feels uncomfortable. My goal is to meet you where you are, help you recognize your strengths, and support you in building a life that feels more balanced, fulfilling, and authentic.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I help clients recognize how their thoughts influence their emotions and behaviors. We work together to challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, manage anxiety, and develop healthier ways of responding to difficult situations. I use this approach because it provides practical tools clients can apply in their everyday lives.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I believe you deserve a space where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and accepted without judgment. I use this approach to build trust, explore your experiences at your own pace, and help you recognize your strengths. It allows therapy to feel supportive and collaborative rather than pressured or one-sided.

Solution-Focused Brief Treatment

While understanding your past is important, I also want to help you move forward. Together, we'll identify what's already working, explore your strengths, and develop realistic steps toward your goals. I use this approach because I want clients to leave therapy with hope, direction, and practical ways to create positive change.
