Jennifer Parker
Jennifer L. Parker is a Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health (LPCMH), Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), and National Certified Counselor (NCC). She works with adults and couples navigating anxiety, addiction, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and other mental health concerns. Jennifer understands that reaching out for counseling can be a meaningful step, and she seeks to offer a welcoming place to begin. Jennifer joined Grow Therapy in October 2026 and currently provides counseling through telehealth. She strives to create a supportive space where clients can speak openly, feel heard, and take time to explore the concerns that brought them to therapy. Whether someone is facing a specific challenge or trying to understand a pattern that has developed over time, Jennifer works with them to gain insight and consider what change could look like. Her experience spans correctional, community and outpatient settings. Jennifer has worked inside Delaware’s prisons with incarcerated adult men and women, supported people on probation, and worked closely with individuals experiencing severe and persistent mental illness. These experiences have deepened her appreciation for the many circumstances that shape a person’s life and reinforced her commitment to treating every client with dignity and care
Strengths
Jennifer’s Christian faith shapes the compassion and hope she brings to counseling. When clients wish to include faith in their sessions, she welcomes conversations about how their beliefs relate to their experiences and may provide meaning and support during difficult seasons. She draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and a strengths-based approach to help clients understand challenging thoughts and behaviors, develop practical tools, and build on the strengths they already have. Jennifer sees counseling as a partnership grounded in trust and genuine human connection. She approaches each client with curiosity, compassion, and respect for the experiences that have shaped them. She considers it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they make sense of what they are going through, recognize their strengths, and explore their hopes for the future. Jennifer listens closely and collaborates with clients to find a way forward that reflects their values and goals.
