Hi, I'm Cecilia. Do you ever feel stuck in the past? Maybe you've been through something traumatic or painful and are finding it difficult to move on from it. Perhaps the experiences of your past somehow seep into your current interactions with work, friends, family, and other relationships, making it all too overwhelming to cope with. I help anyone who's been through high-stress or traumatic experiences with navigating out of those spaces to feel a sense of relief and renewal. Through the use of evidence-based practices, such as EMDR therapy, we'll overcome the pain of the past and get you oriented to the present and better future. In addition, I also integrate CBT, minfulness techniques and acceptance therapy to address your needs. I do my best to foster a collaborative and safe space where you can be you. I take the time to nuture a healthy atmosphere where your well-being and care is priority. Whether your struggling with depression, anxiety or past trauma, I'm here to help. Your time to heal and start fresh is now. Let's get started today!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

After our first session together, we will have developed a plan of action to help guide you on the path you desire. Once we know the direction we are going, you can expect a combination of rapport building which then leads to skill building. Depending on the type of treatment, that you determine is best, a combination of verbal processing and relaxation techniques may also be used in sessions to lead us to your goals.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I utilize EMDR (eye movement, desensitization and reprocessing) therapy to assist any individuals looking to overcome any past traumas. I also use CBT cognitive behavioral therapy, to help with understanding the connection between thoughts, feelings, and emotions. I also find that cognitive behavioral therapy can help with identifying negative patterns of behaviors. I like to incorporate mindfulness techniques, real-time in-session deep breathing, PMR (progressive muscle relaxation techniques. I also like to incorporate communication skill building (i.e. I-statements, reflective listening skills, Assertive communication)

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I find that one of my biggest strengths is to help foster a space where you feel valued and safe. I find that my niche is the ability to connect with people on a human level. I'm a person just like you and I've experienced life's circumstances along with the challenges.
