LCSW, 25 years of experience
As your therapist I'll offer you the opportunity to focus on yourself and your strengths in a safe space. Though counseling we will examine the behaviors, thoughts and feelings that cause you to second guess yourself and your life choices. I'll help you understand the importance of acknowledging and adjusting to change, while most importantly accepting and loving your authentic self.
Our first session is designed for each of us to get to know one another. I will ask questions about why your seeking therapy and what your goals. I'll explain how I can assist you and what I expect from you - open and honest communication.
I am a caring compassionate therapist with over 25 years of dedication practice in the mental health field, drawing on a holistic trauma-informed, and eclectic approach that honors each individual’s unique story and strengths. I specialize in guiding caregivers and young children under five through developmental and behavioral challenges using Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), while also supporting adults navigating life transitions such as the birth of a child, separation, divorce, grief, loss, and the journey of becoming an empty nester. Grounded in evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused strategies, and relational interventions, I strive to cultivate safe, affirming spaces where healing, growth, and resilience can flourish.
I work with adult clients struggling with life transitions, such as separation, grief, loss, divorce, bring a new baby home and sending a child to college. I also work with parents of young children looking for strategies to create a healthy sleep routine.
Working with both parent and young children to address relational health - attachment, disrupted and dysregulation behaviors.
Utilizing therapeutic restructuring to address negative thoughts and feeling to reduce anxiety and depression.
Work with clients with identifying strengths & resources to create tangible solutions rather than focusing solely on problems.
