Munju Anna Chung, LCSW 10724-C. Hello! I prefer to be called "Anna." I believe building a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship is highly important. I value compassion, curiosity, empathy, and non-judgmentalism. I consider it my privilege to be invited into people's sacred inner space and journey together on a path to healing and recovery. I enjoy servicing a diverse population and have worked with adults (18 and up) with OCD, anxiety, depression, and trauma.

EDUCATION *Bachelor of Arts in Economics/ Business at University of California, Los Angeles *Masters of Science in Healthcare Administration at California State University, Long Beach *Masters in Social Work at Columbia University in the City of New York MY JOURNEY TO THERAPY I have had a diverse career, ranging from being a certified public accountant (CPA), being in executive management both in the social service and business sectors, and being a psychotherapist. I found most enjoyment, satisfaction, and fulfillment in my role as a therapist as if to wear clothing that fit me. I consider my role as a therapist not merely as a job, but as a calling. Often, I find that they feel overwhelmed by stress, anxiety, or self-doubt, and are eager to explore their feelings and thought patterns in a safe space. This client values self-awareness and is open to introspection. They may be motivated by a desire to improve their mental well-being, enhance their coping strategies, or develop healthier relationships. Their goals could include building self-esteem, heal from trauma, finding clarity in life decisions, or learning to manage anxiety and stress effectively. With my background, I aim to help them unpack their experiences, identify underlying beliefs, and set actionable goals. My approach focuses on empowering them to take control of their narrative, fostering resilience, and creating a fulfilling life aligned with their values. This client appreciates a therapeutic relationship grounded in empathy, trust, and mutual respect, allowing them to feel heard and validated throughout their journey.

I use an integrative approach that includes but is not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Motivational Interviewing, Strength-Based Therapy and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
