With a passion for holistic well-being and two decades of experience in the field of mental health, I am dedicated to helping you navigate life's challenges. My therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based practices with a deep understanding of the mind-body connection. I use a range of therapeutic modalities from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to EMDR and other body centered therapies. Sessions will be tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual.
In our first session we'll explore the challenges you're facing, discuss relevant history, and come up with a treatment plan for our work together.
I have many therapeutic tools from years of experience that can help guide you but at the root of them all is an ability to listen deeply with presence and emotional grounding - essential for connection and change.
I love working with a diverse population - from adolescence to older adults. “This being human is a guest house. Every morning a new arrival. A joy, a depression, a meanness, some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor.” I strive to create a space where healing occurs - a place where you can sit with difficult thoughts, emotions and behaviors, and develop the tools to transform them.
I've been using CBT in my practice for over a decade, exploring how thoughts impact mood and behavior. I often use CBT skills along with body focused modalities such as focusing, mindfulness and EMDR
I use Polyvagal therapy to explore nervous system states, the stories we tell ourselves and to help find ways to come back to balance.
I use "Chair Therapy" in my practice to explore different parts of the self through dialogue.
I've trained with Kristin Neff, and Beth Sternleib and have been using compassion based practices in my work for for the past 8 years.
