LCSW, 10 years of experience
At Trimble Therapy, we are dedicated to providing personalized and compassionate care for individuals dealing with eating disorders, disordered eating, body image concerns, trauma, and co-occurring mental health issues. Our practice was founded with the belief that recovery is a deeply personal journey, and we are committed to walking alongside our clients every step of the way. We offer evidence-based treatment to address our clients' unique needs, using a range of therapies including CBT, DBT, EMDR, prolonged exposure therapy (PE), exposure response prevention therapy (ERP), psychodynamic interventions, and mindfulness techniques. Our diverse expertise allows us to address the complex emotional and psychological aspects of eating disorders, helping clients to process their experiences, find relief from symptoms, and foster personal growth. Our focus is on creating a nurturing and empathetic environment where clients can explore their challenges and develop effective strategies for lasting change. We strive to ensure that each individual feels supported and empowered throughout their healing journey.
In our first session, clients can expect a welcoming and collaborative space where we begin to explore their concerns, goals, and what brings them to therapy. I’ll ask some questions to better understand their background, current challenges, and what they hope to gain from our work together. This session is also an opportunity for clients to ask questions about the therapy process and discuss any preferences they may have. My goal is to create a comfortable, supportive environment where clients feel heard and understood as we start building a plan tailored to their needs.
As a provider, my greatest strengths lie in my individualized approach, evidence-based treatments, and ability to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space for clients. I tailor treatment to each person’s unique needs, incorporating mindfulness and CBT to help them develop effective coping strategies. I also value collaboration, working closely with clients to understand their goals and empower them in their healing process. My experience working with a diverse range of clients allows me to provide specialized care that is both personalized and effective.
We use evidence-based treatment techniques to help individuals recover from their eating disorders, PTSD, and co-occuring disorders. We strive to help our clients accept their body’s natural shape, no longer experience intense negative emotions due to weight or food, stop compromising their physical or emotional health due to the eating disorder, and cope with negative emotions in healthy ways. We also understand the significance of close relationships and help our clients form stronger connections with others.
Brittany uses cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) as a core treatment approach throughout her work. She is passionate about treating each person as an individual with unique needs and experiences, combining her compassionate approach with evidence-based treatments to provide effective and personalized care.
