Hello, my name is Anthony, an independently licensed social worker dedicated to helping individuals build practical skills to manage emotions, navigate challenges, and create meaningful change in their lives. My style is collaborative, supportive, and focused on helping you make steady, lasting progress toward your personal goals.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is focused on completing a comprehensive assessment better to understand your experiences, strengths, and current challenges. During this time, we will begin by identifying your goals and developing a personalized roadmap to help you become the best version of yourself. This process is collaborative, allowing us to build a strong foundation and create a clear direction for your growth and progress in therapy.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my therapeutic approach is my ability to balance structure with genuine support, providing clients with both practical tools and a collaborative space for growth. I utilize evidence-based methods such as CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and trauma-informed approaches to help clients build emotional regulation skills, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and make measurable progress toward their goals.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Therapeutically, I am most effective working with clients who require a more directive, skills-based, goal-focused approach to therapy. Clients who struggle with difficulty regulating emotions, anxiety, stress management, or have experienced trauma benefit most from my strengths-based yet trauma-informed and phased approach to therapy that emphasizes stabilization and skills acquisition. Clients who feel ‘stuck’ in maladaptive thought or behavior cycles and are seeking concrete tools to manage their emotions better, increase self-awareness, and learn healthier responses are a good fit for my practice. I also excel at working with adolescents and young adults who are experiencing life changes, identity formation, and navigating growing independence. Clients who desire tangible tools, accountability, and trackable progress to reach their goals and improve functioning, relationships, and life accomplishments work well with my implementation of evidence-based practices.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) principles to help clients identify the connections among their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. In practice, I assist clients in recognizing maladaptive thought patterns, challenging cognitive distortions, and developing more balanced, adaptive thinking styles. I incorporate techniques such as cognitive restructuring, psychoeducation, behavioral activation, and skill-building to improve emotional regulation and coping.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I have experience using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques to help clients develop skills in emotion regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness. In practice, I assist clients with identifying emotional triggers, increasing awareness of their responses, and building healthier coping strategies to manage intense emotions and reduce maladaptive behaviors.

EMDR

I have foundational experience with Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) principles and incorporate trauma-informed approaches aligned with the model in my clinical work. I utilize elements of EMDR, such as grounding, resourcing, and bilateral stimulation techniques (when necessary), to support clients in processing distressing experiences and reducing the emotional intensity associated with traumatic memories.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I have experience using Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) to help clients identify strengths, build on existing resources, and create practical, goal-oriented change. In practice, I guide clients in exploring exceptions to their problems, clarifying their desired outcomes, and developing small, achievable steps toward progress. I incorporate techniques such as scaling questions, the miracle question, and strengths-based reframing to help clients shift focus from problems to solutions.
