I am a therapist with over seven years of experience in community mental health, where I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals of all ages, backgrounds, identities, and mental health challenges. I’m passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and valued as they share their stories. Clients often describe me as warm, empathetic, and—when appropriate—a bit sarcastic. I strive to meet people where they are while also helping them recognize their capacity for growth and change. My goal is to support clients in building insight, developing healthier patterns, and moving toward a more fulfilling and balanced life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

A relaxed, conversation-based approach where we begin getting to know each other. We discuss what brings you to therapy, your background, and what you’re hoping to get out of our work together. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—we’ll go at a pace that feels comfortable for you. This first meeting is also an opportunity for you to ask questions, get a feel for my style, and decide if I’m a good fit for you. Together, we’ll start identifying goals and begin building a foundation for a supportive and collaborative therapeutic relationship.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I take a holistic approach to therapy, recognizing your strengths, values, and resilience—not just the challenges that bring you in. I aim to help you make sense of your patterns with compassion rather than judgment, while also identifying areas where growth and change are possible. I believe meaningful progress comes from both feeling heard and actively learning new ways to navigate life’s challenges. In sessions, I strive to create a balance between giving you space to share your story and taking a more direct, hands-on approach when it’s helpful. Alongside processing your experiences, I introduce practical tools and strategies that you can begin using in your everyday life. This combination allows you to feel deeply understood while also making tangible progress—building insight, strengthening coping skills, and creating lasting, meaningful change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with individuals who feel ready for change but may feel stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. Many of my clients experience depression, anxiety, overwhelm, self-criticism, or the lingering impact of past experiences, and are looking for practical tools as well as deeper emotional healing. You may be someone who is insightful and motivated, but unsure how to move forward or break cycles that keep showing up in your life. Together, we focus on building self-awareness, strengthening coping skills, and helping you feel more grounded, confident, and aligned with the life you want to create.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I am trained in EMDR, a structured, evidence-based therapy designed to alleviate distress associated with traumatic memories. In my practice, I use EMDR to help clients process and heal from trauma and other distressing life experiences. Before beginning trauma processing, we focus on building strong foundational resources—such as grounding techniques and guided visualizations—to ensure you feel prepared and supported. From there, I guide you through structured techniques that help reduce the emotional intensity of painful memories so you can move forward feeling lighter and more at ease.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my practice, I use CBT to help clients recognize how their thoughts impact their emotions and behaviors. Together, we identify unhelpful thought patterns and develop more balanced, realistic ways of thinking.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I incorporate DBT to support clients who feel overwhelmed by intense emotions. I teach skills in mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and communication so you can feel more in control, improve relationships, and navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence.

Compassion Focused

I integrate self-compassion focused techniques to help clients develop a kinder, more supportive relationship with themselves. If you struggle with self-criticism or shame, I’ll guide you in building self-compassion and emotional resilience.
