About me

With over 10 years of experience in hospital settings, I specialize in supporting individuals who are navigating the intersection of physical and emotional health. My work often focuses on issues like anxiety, depression, grief, caregiver burnout, medical trauma, and the challenges that come with chronic illness or loss of function. I take a warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative approach to therapy, creating a space where clients feel safe to show up as they are. I believe healing happens when we can connect the mind and body, and I help clients build self-awareness, resilience, and practical tools to feel more grounded and whole—especially in the face of difficult or uncertain times.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, you can expect a comfortable, non-judgmental space where we’ll get to know each other and explore what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your concerns and goals, and we’ll discuss how I can best support you moving forward. This session is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions about my approach, so you feel confident and at ease in the process. My goal is to make sure you feel heard, respected, and clear about how we can work together.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

In my work, I draw from Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to support clients in identifying and building on their strengths, rather than focusing solely on problems. I believe that even small steps can lead to meaningful change, and I work collaboratively with clients to clarify their goals and envision the future they want to create. Through targeted questions and practical strategies, I help clients recognize what's already working in their lives and explore ways to do more of it. This approach is especially helpful for clients looking for a focused, goal-oriented experience that empowers them to move forward with confidence and clarity.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate a mindfulness-based approach to help clients develop greater awareness and acceptance of their present-moment experience. By learning to observe thoughts and emotions without judgment, clients can create space between what they feel and how they respond. This approach can be especially helpful in managing anxiety, stress, and emotional overwhelm. In our work together, I guide clients in cultivating mindfulness skills—such as grounding, breathing, and self-compassion practices—that support emotional regulation and promote a deeper sense of balance and well-being.

Strength-Based

I use a strength-based approach to therapy, which means I focus on identifying and building upon the inner resources, resilience, and unique qualities that each client already possesses. Rather than centering solely on problems or diagnoses, I work collaboratively with clients to uncover what’s working, what’s helped in the past, and how we can use those strengths to support growth and healing. This perspective helps foster hope, confidence, and a greater sense of agency in navigating life’s challenges.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) into my work to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we explore unhelpful thinking patterns and develop practical strategies to shift them, with the goal of creating meaningful, lasting change. CBT offers tools for building self-awareness, managing difficult emotions, and responding to challenges with greater flexibility and confidence. I tailor this approach to each individual, making sure it aligns with their unique goals and values

Mind-body approach

I take a mind-body approach to therapy, recognizing the deep connection between our emotional experiences and physical responses. By tuning into the body—through breathwork, grounding techniques, and somatic awareness—I help clients notice how stress, trauma, or emotions may be held physically. This awareness creates opportunities for healing and regulation that go beyond talk therapy alone. Whether we’re working on anxiety, trauma, or simply reconnecting with a sense of calm and presence, I support clients in developing tools that integrate both mental and physical well-being
