New to Grow
I have been a therapist for over 35 years, and I love assisting people to reach their goals. During my career I have worked with individuals and couples in the areas of trauma, grief and loss, relationship issues, depression, and anxiety. I utilize many different theraputic techniques as I do not believe anyone should be pigeon holed into one theraputic method. We are all unique individuals. I also use humor when needed even if it is just to take a breath.
During our first session you can expect me to answer any questions you may have. I will also be asking you what brought you to Grow Therapy and what goals you may wish to achive. Also, what your strengths are at this time.
I am very honest and always remind my clients that they can ask me any questions. However, I always remind clients if they don't want to know something not to ask me because I will tell them. In addition to training and working in the area of Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence, Childhood Trauma, and Physical Disablities, I continue to learn and grow.
I enjoy assisting clients to explore setting boundaries, improve their communication skills and identify their wants and needs. In addition, I assist clients to identify their theraputic goals and to gain insight as to how theraputic techniques will help them in achieving these goals. Therapy is not just an hour a week. The theraputic process continues for the client outside the session as they actively utilize the theraputic techniques.
