I have always found that the macabre and fantasy worlds offer a strange sense of peace- maybe because they make our real-world struggles feel a bit more manageable. In my free time, you can find me watching horror movies or reading a fantasy novel. I am a reformed hyper-independent woman, as well as a teen who was labeled “hateful, mean and problematic" before anyone took the time to peel back those layers and discover WHY those walls were present, so I know the exhausting hustle of pretending you have it all figured out. I don’t always have my shit together, but I’ve done the work to know how to easily get back on track. I have a big personality, but I have learned to embrace my “much-ness,” and like to often remind myself with my daily mantra that “Nothing is ever that serious.” I exercise my anger at the current state of the world by walking 2.5 miles everyday with my 4 dogs and blasting my feminine rage playlist.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I became a therapist because I believe true strength isn't found in going at it alone, but in learning who you can trust to walk alongside you. This is the core of my work with both hyper-independent adults and families with struggling teens. Having navigated my own journey from self-reliance to secure connection, I’m passionate about teaching those skills. For parents, I provide a roadmap out of the constant worry and conflict and back to a place of connection with their teen.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Therapy with me is not about making you "needy" or breaking down the strength you've worked so hard to build. It’s about channeling that strength in a new direction: toward yourself. In our sessions, we create a space where you can finally set that weight down. You can talk about your fears, your frustrations, and your hopes without judgement. I will help you understand how your past experiences shaped this “do-it-myself” mentality and gently challenge you to practice vulnerability in a safe, controlled environment. We will work on skills to identify your needs, communicate them effectively, and graciously receive support. This is your permission slip to prioritize your emotional well-being and to discover that true strength includes knowing who you can trust. Imagine a life where you can: Share a burden with someone else and feel lighter, not weaker. Experience a disagreement without fearing the relationship will collapse. Genuinely relax and feel connected during quiet moments, instead of planning or worrying. Feel confident not just in your ability to handle everything, but in your ability to enjoy your life and relationships. This isn’t about a complete personality overhaul; it’s an integration. It’s about adding new tools to your arsenal- tools of connection, trust and mutual support- so you can build a life that feels strong and sustainable. Resilient and deeply connected. This is where Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) comes in. This isn’t about teaching you to be a stricter disciplinarian or a permissive pushover. It’s about understanding that your teen’s behavior is language: It’s communicating an unmet need or a response to past trauma that they can’t verbalize. In our work together, I will empower YOU as the healing agent for your child. We will focus on creating an environment of “felt-safety” in your home, where your teen can begin to regulate their emotions and trust that you are a source of support, not conflict. I will teach you practical, connecting strategies to de-escalate situations, address the underlying needs driving the behavior, and set empowering boundaries that rebuild trust instead of breaking it down. This is your permission to seek help. It is a sign of strength, not failure, to get the right tools to support your child. Imagine your home could: Have moments of peace and even laughter, not just tension and walking on eggshells. Be a place where conflicts end with repair and connection, not resentment and distance.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients feel alone behind their walls. Hyper-Independent adults are exhausted from carrying everything themselves. They are resilient but lonely, struggling to be vulnerable or receive support. They want to trade self-reliance for deep, secure connection without losing their strength. Parents of Struggling Teens are worried and heartbroken. Their teens, often labeled as problematic, are acting out or withdrawing due to past trauma. These parents want a roadmap to de-escalate conflict, rebuild trust, and restore peace and connection in their home. Both seek a safe space to heal, be understood, and build a future with meaning. I help hyper-independent adults and families with struggling teens. As a trauma-informed LCSW and TBRI Practitioner, I provide practical tools for healing. For adults, we build secure connection without losing strength. For parents, we decode teen behavior to rebuild trust and peace at home. Your privacy and our focused work together are my priority. You're exhausted from being the strong one, the one who has to figure it all out. You're tired of the walls you built for survival now blocking love and support. You don't have to white-knuckle your way through life alone. I provide a safe space to lay down your armor. Reach out today. I can help.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

I utilize attachment-theory in my TBRI Practitioner role by analyzing how attachments with our caregivers shape and affect our nervous system. Trust-Based Relational Intervention is designed to help children who suffered abuse, as well as helping adults navigate where their needs went unmet in childhood, and how that shapes us into the person we are today.
