New to Grow
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor who believes therapy should feel real—not overly clinical or like you have to say the “right” things. I work with individuals, couples, and families dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship stress, trauma, and life situations that feel overwhelming or hard to manage. A lot of the people I work with feel stuck, drained, or unsure where to even start—and that’s completely okay. I’m both supportive and direct. I’ll meet you where you are, but I’ll also help you look at patterns, behaviors, and thoughts that might be keeping you stuck. My goal isn’t just to listen—it’s to help you actually move forward. My background includes working in high-stress environments and supporting people through complex challenges, including trauma and substance use. Because of that, I take a practical, down-to-earth approach that focuses on what actually works in real life—not just in theory.
The first session is just a conversation—no pressure, no need to have everything figured out. We’ll talk about what’s been going on, what’s been weighing on you, and what you want to be different. I’ll ask some questions to understand your situation, but this isn’t an interrogation or checklist. You can expect me to be easy to talk to, honest, and engaged. If something stands out, I may gently challenge it or offer a different perspective—but always in a way that feels supportive, not overwhelming. By the end of the session, my goal is for you to feel more comfortable, a little more clear, and like you’re not carrying everything on your own.
What stands out about my approach is that I focus on helping clients move forward, not just talk through what’s wrong. While I provide a supportive and nonjudgmental space, I’m also intentional about helping you recognize patterns, challenge unhelpful thinking, and make practical changes that carry over into your daily life. I tend to work well with people who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or mentally drained, and who want more than just a place to vent. My sessions are collaborative and focused, with an emphasis on building insight, improving coping, and creating real, lasting change—not just temporary relief.
I work best with individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I have experience supporting clients facing stress, trauma, and substance use concerns, and those feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of how to move forward. My ideal clients are open to growth and willing to engage in the therapeutic process, even if they’re not sure where to start. Together, we focus on building insight, developing coping skills, and creating meaningful, lasting change.
Eclectic
I use an eclectic approach to therapy, tailoring treatment to each client’s unique needs, goals, and preferences. Drawing from evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, solution-focused techniques, and elements of trauma-informed care, I adjust interventions to best support each individual. My approach is collaborative, flexible, and focused on helping clients build insight, develop coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.
