Hi, I'm Melissa, and I’m deeply passionate about helping those who serve and those who are facing unique challenges. I understand the toll that trauma, high-stress environments, and coping with loss can take, especially for first responders, veterans, and those struggling with addiction. If you’re feeling isolated, dealing with the weight of unresolved trauma, or navigating the pull of gambling or substance use, I want you to know you’re not alone. My goal is to offer you a compassionate, supportive space where you feel heard and understood, no matter where you are on your journey.
In our work together, I use proven methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, and strengths-based approaches, tailoring them to meet your unique needs. My approach is person-centered, focused on helping you understand your experiences and empowering you to build healthier coping mechanisms and resilience.
Throughout sessions, you can expect to gain new insights, manage stress, and develop skills to overcome personal obstacles. My goal is to help you rediscover balance, purpose, and a renewed sense of hope. Whether you're seeking a partner in healing or a fresh start, I'm here to support you in reaching your goals. I am a compassionate therapist who creates a supportive, collaborative environment where clients feel heard and empowered. My experience as a first responder for children in crisis strengthened my ability to remain calm and grounded in high‑stress situations. I’m committed to helping clients build practical tools for resilience and growth. Outside of work, I enjoy nature, hiking, baking, reading, and traveling.
Hi! My name is Jana! Thank you for reading my profile :) I want you to know a little about me so you can decide if you'd like to schedule with me. I am licensed in Ohio and I have been a Therapist for over 10 years. I have been doing teletherapy for quite awhile now and I much prefer it to in-office settings. I am a mother to 3 wild kiddos, I live in the country and I [try to] make friends with feral cats. I am very chatty, I enjoy getting to know the people that I am working with. I have a lot of experience in several areas: domestic violence, narcissism, autism, intellectual disabilities, adhd, depression, pregnancy loss, anxiety, parenting issues, life changes, bullying, etc. I like a natural conversation style in sessions so it is as comfortable as possible! FYI: I'm not currently accepting couples and I don't write recommendation letters for ESA/service animals due to the potential liability.
With over 21 years of experience in behavioral health, I’ve had the privilege of working with clients of all ages—from children to older adults—in settings such as private practice and inpatient care. I bring a calm, steady presence and strong listening skills to each session, helping clients uncover the root causes of their distress. My goal is to walk alongside you on your journey to healing, offering compassion, understanding, and practical tools that support your growth. Blessings
Hello there. I’m grateful you came across my page. I have a wide range of experience, working in residential treatment centers, private practices, schools, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, prisons, and have significant experience working with veterans in both an inpatient and outpatient setting. I work with clients across the lifespan, as a great deal of my graduate training was with children, adolescents, and families. I have been trained in several approaches to treat a variety of concerns, but I most enjoy working with trauma and PTSD. Additionally, I have specialized training in working with those who struggle with emotion regulation, distress tolerance, as well as those who engage in self-harm behaviors.
I have worked with a variety of clients in different settings over my career. I listen with compassion and understanding. I do not judge and encourage clients to make the best decisions for themselves and not what they think others expect. I work really hard to establish trust and and am firm on maintaining confidentiality. I provide a safe space for people to be their authentic selves. I am always honored when clients allow me to be a part of their journey. Please note I do not complete disability documents.
At different points in our lives, we may encounter challenges that feel overwhelming. Often, the hardest step is simply reaching out for help.

Hello! I'm a licensed professional clinical counselor with a supervisor designation in the state of Ohio and a licensed professional counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. I received my master's degree in community counseling from Malone University in Canton, OH. In addition to counseling, I enjoy coaching and refereeing sports at the youth level and at the high school level. I tend to thrive in crisis. Ideal with the toughest cases of trauma, shootings, cults abductions, and domestic violence. I have been able to help so many veterans as well over the past 12+ years in my positions with US Service Animals, Simple, Practice, Grow Therapy and other telehealth platforms. I was an early adopter of telehealth and I have seen it. Make such a difference for so many people because of the comfort that is brought by being able to open up in an environment you know is safe, your own home/space. I take a solutions focused and a client centered approach. I am also insight oriented. I have a lot of insight when it comes to dealing with physical pain and disabilities as I have a visual disability since very young and suffered a TBI at age 24. I like to focus on what issues you are having and come up with coping mechanisms that will work for you. Dealing with the struggles I have had throughout my life has helped me work with people and develop creative and effective coping mechanisms for their specific issues. I have now lived and worked in several states with varying cultures and have benefited from all of these experiences. I have spent a lot of time in a hospital and work well with nurses and medical professionals as well. Please reach out if you think I can help and I will meet you where you are and see where we can go from here.
