Hi there! My name is Dr. Tammy Steiner, and I’m a licensed professional counselor passionate about helping children, teens, and young adults navigate life’s challenges. Whether it’s working through anxiety, depression, trauma, or other concerns, I believe every young person deserves a safe and supportive space to grow and heal.
I hold an MS in Psychology, an MS in Clinical Counseling, a certificate in Play Therapy, and a PhD in Educational Psychology. During my training and internship, I focused on supporting children and adolescents through difficult experiences, and I continue to use that foundation in my work today.
My goal is to meet each client where they are, build a caring relationship, and walk alongside them as they discover their strengths and find healthier ways to cope.
I am a dual-licensed clinical mental health counselor and independent chemical dependency counselor with 10 years of clinical experience, and I am nationally certified by the NBCC. My work is grounded in more than 20 years of service to diverse communities, and I bring a warm, steady, and compassionate presence to every session.
My therapeutic style is eclectic, but rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy. I specialize in anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, and addictions, and I help clients understand the patterns that shape their lives so they can build new ones with intention and confidence.
Clients often describe me as direct yet deeply supportive — someone who can challenge them while also creating a space where they feel genuinely seen. I believe growth is a collaborative process, and I am committed to helping you become the strongest, most grounded version of yourself.
If you’re ready to move forward with clarity and support, I’m here to walk that path with you.
Perhaps you've spent years trying to understand your family dynamics, navigate painful relationships, and make sense of why the past still hurts. You've talked about your experiences, gained insight, and tried to move forward, yet something still feels unresolved. You're tired of questioning yourself, minimizing your pain, and carrying the emotional weight of experiences you never asked for. You want to feel heard, trust yourself again, and finally begin healing from what you've been carrying.
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and earned my counseling degree from John Carroll University. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship concerns, stress, self-esteem, and life transitions.
My background in both counseling and nursing has shaped my understanding of the connection between mental, emotional, and physical well-being. I provide a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space while helping clients recognize their strengths, develop healthy coping skills, and create meaningful change.
I have worked with a variety of clients in different settings over my career. I listen with compassion and understanding. I do not judge and encourage clients to make the best decisions for themselves and not what they think others expect. I work really hard to establish trust and and am firm on maintaining confidentiality. I provide a safe space for people to be their authentic selves. I am always honored when clients allow me to be a part of their journey. Please note I do not complete disability documents.

Hello! I'm a licensed professional clinical counselor with a supervisor designation in the state of Ohio and a licensed professional counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. I received my master's degree in community counseling from Malone University in Canton, OH. In addition to counseling, I enjoy coaching and refereeing sports at the youth level and at the high school level. I am a supporter of our military being a veteran and a father to three wonderful children
I tend to thrive in crisis. Ideal with the toughest cases of trauma, shootings, cults abductions, and domestic violence. I have been able to help so many veterans as well over the past 12+ years in my positions with US Service Animals, Simple, Practice, Grow Therapy and other telehealth platforms. I was an early adopter of telehealth and I have seen it. Make such a difference for so many people because of the comfort that is brought by being able to open up in an environment you know is safe, your own home/space. I take a solutions focused and a client centered approach. I am also insight oriented. I have a lot of insight when it comes to dealing with physical pain and disabilities as I have a visual disability since very young and suffered a TBI at age 24. I like to focus on what issues you are having and come up with coping mechanisms that will work for you. Dealing with the struggles I have had throughout my life has helped me work with people and develop creative and effective coping mechanisms for their specific issues. I have now lived and worked in several states with varying cultures and have benefited from all of these experiences. I have spent a lot of time in a hospital and work well with nurses and medical professionals as well. Please reach out if you think I can help and I will meet you where you are and see where we can go from here.
Hi! My name is Jana! Thank you for reading my profile :) I want you to know a little about me so you can decide if you'd like to schedule with me. I am licensed in Ohio and I have been a Therapist for over 10 years. I have been doing teletherapy for quite awhile now and I much prefer it to in-office settings. I am a mother to 3 wild kiddos, I live in the country and I [try to] make friends with feral cats. I am very chatty, I enjoy getting to know the people that I am working with. I have a lot of experience in several areas: domestic violence, narcissism, autism, intellectual disabilities, adhd, depression, pregnancy loss, anxiety, parenting issues, life changes, bullying, etc. I like a natural conversation style in sessions so it is as comfortable as possible! FYI: I'm not currently accepting couples and I don't write recommendation letters for ESA/service animals due to the potential liability.
