Hello, I'm David Bray, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor dedicated to helping adults and couples build healthier relationships—with others and with themselves. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, and the unique pressures that often come with life.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical, drawing from evidence-based therapies while tailoring treatment to each person's needs. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply ready to make meaningful changes, I strive to create a supportive space where you can gain insight, strengthen resilience, and develop lasting tools for a more fulfilling life.
Hi there, I'm Stephen.
Do you feel pulled in a million directions, unable to fit it all in? Are you struggling to keep up with your relationships, work and health? Is it hard to be kind to yourself?
I help people manage anxiety and depression. Together, we can identify what's not working and get you back to balance. We'll use a whole self-approach, addressing the needs of your mind, body and spirit. I also integrate mindfulness and art to help you develop a stronger relationship with yourself.
Whether you're dealing with overwhelm, relationship issues or cycles of anxiety and depression, I'm here to help. Seeking therapy can feel scary but you're making the right choice. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. In our sessions together, I'll meet you with compassion and evidence-based techniques so you can overcome the hangups and habits holding you back. Let's work together!
Hi there! Let's sit and chat...
Are you looking for a safe space to explore and organize your thoughts and feelings?
Many people see therapy as a one-sided conversation, with little opportunity for interaction or getting to experience one another as real people. I can assure you our sessions will be as real as it gets!
I want to help you achieve whatever solutions and life changes you are looking for. We'll work on building trust and a sense of safety, using open communication and humor, to identify how we can improve on your already existing coping skills, supports, and knowledge. Although this process may be challenging, we will work to enjoy the process as much as possible, so you can experience yourself, your relationships, and your life in new ways. Simply put, I don't think therapy has to be a painful thing for you. Starting this step can be hard and I would love the opportunity to work with you on this journey.
For Private Pay Clients:
Individual Sessions: $190/hour
Couple/Family Sessions: $230/hour
**All couples and families are seen via private pay. This allows us to focus on the relationships in the room, rather than the diagnosis of an individual.
**For those out of network, should you meet criteria for a diagnosis accepted by insurance companies, I can provide monthly superbills that you may submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. Please note that the payments received by the insurance provider as reimbursement may not cover the full service fee and I cannot guarantee reimbursement.
Hi! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a (LCPC). I received my Masters degree from Springfield College and have been providing therapy for over 15 years. I'm a psychotherapist with 35-plus years of experience. After completing training in clinical social work and psychology at the University of Maryland (M.S.W., 1988) and Saybrook Institute (Ph.D., 1991), I began practicing as a family, couples and individual therapist. I have hosted on radio/podcasts, have written two books and thousands of self-help articles in my "Life's a Beach" column for nationwide Gannett media. I love working with clients in the here-and-now, and finding solutions to move forward with life. My primary goal is to help you help yourself. I will guide and coach you, not tell you what to do. Diagnostic labels are useful at times, but you are not your labels. I'm your thinking partner: We'll reason and think our way to what makes sense together.
I am a Texas native who enjoys traveling the world and learning about new cultures. I hold a Bachelor's degree from the University of Texas and a Master's in Counseling from Sam Houston State University. I believe in creating a safe space for my clients to connect with me, share their issues, and find resolution. With my psychology background, I utilize therapeutic techniques from Gestalt, Carl Rogers, Albert Ellis, and Aaron Beck. I tailor my sessions to each client and meet them where they are. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, relationship issues, work stress, trauma, and PTSD
I grew up in Las Vegas, NV in a big, blended family.
During my internship and following graduation, I worked at an inpatient treatment facility for teens dealing with high suicidality, self-harming behaviors, and psychosis. It was during this time that I began to recognize how much work can be done to prevent crises before they strike, rather than trying to figure it all out afterwards. Also, it isn't just big things like suicide that can be prevented-working to decrease stress, anxiety, increase fulfillment..these are worthwhile too.
If you feel nervous/weird/awkward/anxious about therapy, that’s normal.
All I can say is, you matter. You are an important part of the world. Let’s work together and see if maybe, just maybe, things could get a little better.
With over 10 years of experience, I help adults, young adults, and college students navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, overthinking, and relationship challenges. Many of my clients appear to have it all together on the outside, but internally feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or stuck in patterns they can’t seem to break. Many of my clients are high-functioning but internally overwhelmed, overthinking and emotionally exhausted.
My approach is warm, supportive, and insight-driven, while also being direct and goal-oriented. I use evidence-based techniques to help clients build practical coping skills, increase self-awareness, and create meaningful, lasting change. I work especially well with individuals who are ready to better understand themselves, improve their relationships, and move forward with more clarity and confidence.
I am licensed in Illinois, Nevada and Florida and provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout their growth and healing process.
