I am a bilingual therapist licensed in the state of Florida. I graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and the University of South Florida with a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling. I additionally obtained certifications as a Marriage and Family Therapist and a Rehabilitation Counselor. I have extensive experience working in a psychiatric hospital and in private practice.

I earned my master’s degree in mental health counseling from Capella University while serving in the U.S. Army. I am a veteran and served as a mental health specialist for 7 years. Upon completion of my commitment I relocated back to Florida where I have worked with community based services, corrections, and crisis response services. I have over 20 year of experience and have work with a wide variety of individuals helping them to adjust to and maneuver through life’s up downs and everything in between.

Hello, my name is Vanessa, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, licensed in Florida, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, and South Carolina. I am bilingual in English and Spanish, and I provide counseling in both languages to best support my clients’ needs. My professional background in mental health began during my undergraduate and graduate studies, where I gained experience working with children through the Department of Children & Families, with older adults in skilled nursing facilities, and with adolescents in group homes. Over the years, I have expanded my work to include diverse populations and settings. I served as a Nurse Navigator at one of the largest cancer hospitals in South Florida, providing counseling and advocacy for oncology patients and their families.
