New to Grow
Hi, I’m Dani! I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master’s in Clinical Psychology, and I’m really passionate about helping people feel more like themselves again. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, work stress, disordered eating, body image concerns, and LGBTQ+ identity exploration. I show up as warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative—I’ll meet you where you are, help you make sense of what you’re feeling, and support you in building tools that actually work in your day-to-day life. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, confident, and at home in your body and identity, so you can move through life with more ease and authenticity.
During our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other. I’ll ask about what’s bringing you to therapy, your current challenges, and what you’re hoping to get out of our work together. There’s no pressure to share everything right away—we’ll go at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I’ll also explain how I work, answer any questions you have, and begin to identify some initial goals. Most importantly, the first session is about helping you feel safe, heard, and supported as we start this process together.
My greatest strengths are creating a warm, safe space where clients feel truly seen and understood, and helping them make sense of what they’re going through in a clear, compassionate way. I balance insight with practical tools, so clients not only gain awareness but also leave sessions with skills they can use in their daily lives. I also take a collaborative, individualized approach—meeting each client where they are and tailoring therapy to their unique needs—while gently challenging patterns that may be holding them back to support meaningful, lasting change.
I’m best positioned to work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, work-related stress, and LGBTQ+ identity exploration. Many of my clients feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves, and are looking for support in building coping skills, setting boundaries, and feeling more confident in their daily lives. I work well with clients who are open to self-reflection and want a collaborative, compassionate space to explore their emotions, better understand themselves, and create meaningful, lasting change.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and to identify patterns that may be contributing to distress. I work collaboratively with clients to challenge unhelpful thinking and develop more balanced, supportive perspectives. I also incorporate practical tools and real-life application so clients can build skills they can use outside of sessions.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I use DBT to help clients build skills in emotion regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness. I support clients in learning how to manage intense emotions and respond to challenges more effectively, rather than reacting impulsively. I integrate these skills in a practical, collaborative way so clients can apply them in their daily lives.
Somatic
I use somatic approaches to help clients connect with their body and increase awareness of how emotions and stress show up physically. I guide clients in noticing sensations, regulating their nervous system, and building a sense of safety in their body. This work is integrated gently and at the client’s pace, especially when supporting trauma and chronic stress.
Strength-Based
I use a strengths-based approach to help clients identify and build on their existing resilience, skills, and internal resources. I support clients in shifting focus from what’s wrong to what’s working, while empowering them to create meaningful change. This approach helps foster confidence, self-efficacy, and a more compassionate view of themselves.
