Relationships can become painful when communication breaks down, conflict keeps repeating, trust feels fragile, or emotional distance grows. I help couples and individuals work through marriage concerns, relationship stress, repeated arguments, emotional triggers, intimacy difficulties, attachment wounds, infidelity, betrayal, and broken trust.

Call me TODAY at 646-687-9932) Our intensives are designed for couples who have experienced an affair or infidelity and need to reset their marriage and build trust.

My approach is compassionate, practical, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and faith-sensitive when desired. I help clients identify the patterns that keep them stuck and develop healthier ways to communicate, understand one another, manage conflict, rebuild trust, and create stronger emotional connection. For couples affected by infidelity or betrayal, I provide a structured space to address the impact of the betrayal, understand triggers, improve transparency and accountability, and begin rebuilding safety and trust. I also work with individuals experiencing anxiety, trauma, pornography-related concerns, emotional distress, and relationship challenges. Therapy may focus on understanding emotional patterns, improving coping skills, strengthening boundaries, increasing self-awareness, and developing healthier relationships with yourself and others. I have completed Levels 1 and 2 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, which informs my work with communication, conflict, friendship, intimacy, trust, and relationship repair. I integrate evidence-based interventions with sensitivity to each client’s culture, values, family background, and spiritual beliefs. Whether you are feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, betrayed, stuck in the same arguments, or uncertain about the future of your relationship, therapy can provide a structured place to slow down, understand what is happening, and work toward meaningful change. My goal is to help clients move from confusion and repeated patterns toward greater clarity, connection, emotional safety, and healthier relationships.

First session

In our first session together, we will start with a brief introduction and then dive into the specific challenge you are facing to help me create a tailored plan or a treatment plan to help my client achieve their purpose.Together, we will identify your challenges and goals - where you want your life to be a month, six months, a year from now. Then, we'll identify options and strategies you can use to get there. You'll leave the session with a better understanding of what you're facing with an "actions I can take right now" approach. There will always be room for suggestions concerning our work together, including keeping each other accountable.

Strengths

I bring a calm, compassionate, and structured presence to therapy. Dr. Kwame Frimpong appears to be an ideal match for me to achieve my goals as I understand them today. He provided invaluable, achievable, and practical insights that will help rectify my thought-processing missteps. I have already ordered two of his applicable and relevant books, and will also view the respective videos from his YouTube channel before our next session.

Dr. Kwame gave my husband and I hope. He doesn't just try and do patch work. His approach is thorough and thoughtful. He holds both sides accountable and encourages along the way. We both look forward to our next session with him.
