I am an analytical and compassionate therapist with over 25 years of experience. I’ve gathered a wealth of resources and insights, which I share with respect, curiosity, and understanding. My goal is to foster a safe, functional, and mutually enjoyable relationship with my clients—supporting growth and connection throughout their personal and relational journeys.
In our initial session, I aim to establish a foundation of trust and understanding. I will gather relevant information through a detailed intake process, which helps clarify your concerns and goals. This assessment guides our treatment planning and allows us to identify key skills and strategies to support your growth.
What truly sets my approach apart are my extensive academic training at both the Master’s and Doctorate levels, combined with over 25 years of practical, hands-on experience in the field of therapy. Throughout this time, I have continually developed and refined my skills, staying current with the latest research and techniques. I am deeply committed to offering tailored, respectful, and compassionate care that meets each client’s individual needs and goals. I believe in fostering a warm and collaborative environment where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts and feelings. I draw upon a rich and diverse array of resources, evidence-based methods, and therapeutic tools to help clients build healthier relationships, enhance their emotional well-being, and achieve personal growth. My approach emphasizes curiosity, respect, and genuine care, ensuring that clients feel valued and supported as they work toward meaningful, lasting change.
My ideal clients are individuals aged 18 to 64 who are seeking to develop skills and gain insights for building respectful, emotionally safe, and mutually reciprocal relationships. Together, we will work towards creating a life filled with sensitivity, fairness, security, and joy as they navigate their unique journey through life.
Couples Counseling
I use Relational Life Therapy: I hear their desire, and identify what the "dance" is that they do. I then go through 8 lenses to address ways to change that dynamic if it is not working for them.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
It is so rewarding to see results that bring people closer together, and satisfied with their accomplishments.
Christian Counseling
Some couples with a deep faith want biblical advice that supports true and tried scriptural principles.
EMDR
This amazing method is so welcome when there has been Trauma that can be healed to live a full life.
Attachment-based
Attachment is such a major part of human relationships; becoming aware and integrating attachment principles to create a safe, secure, and loving relationship is the foundation of this work.
