Life can look completely fine on the outside while feeling exhausting on the inside. You may be carrying anxiety, trauma, people pleasing, self-doubt, or simply the weight of trying to hold everything together. If you're looking for a therapist who is genuine, down-to-earth, and willing to meet you where you are, you're in the right place. Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if this is your first time. You don't have to have everything figured out before reaching out. If you're ready for a therapist who will listen, laugh with you when appropriate, challenge you gently, and help you make meaningful changes, I'd love to meet you. Clients who come to me are strong, and often need a compassionate, listening ear of someone who "gets it." Perhaps you're someone who has never seen a therapist, or maybe you are a seasoned pro. Either way, my goal is to help you better understand yourself, develop healthier patterns, and move toward the life you want. Welcome. I am here for you!
In a first session, my goal is just to learn about you. I want to make sure that I am a good fit for you, and that your goals will be met. I am here to listen to you, providing non-judgmental and intuitive perspectives to help you gain the insight that you are looking for. You'll find a space where you can be honest without fear of judgment. I'll listen carefully, offer observations you may not have considered, and help you begin connecting the dots in ways that make sense. Therapy with me feels like talking with a real person: warm, engaged, and genuine. I'll ask thoughtful questions, challenge you when it helps, and yes, humor and sarcasm sometimes find their way into our sessions when they're appropriate. I love what I do, and I enjoy seeing my clients succeed and reach their goals!
I am a real person, not one of those cold, distant "how does that make you feel?" therapists. I show my personality as I work with you to discover the patterns and connections of human behavior. Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, trauma, depression, perfectionism, people-pleasing, relationship stress, or low self-worth. They're tired of surviving and want to better understand themselves so they can actually enjoy life again.
I work primarily with adults and teens who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, stress, confidence, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I especially enjoy working with people who are often the "strong one" for everyone else but are realizing they need support too. Some have tried therapy before but felt like they were only scratching the surface. Finding the right therapist matters. My approach combines empathy, curiosity, humor, and practical tools to help you feel understood while creating real change. Together, we work on understanding the deeper patterns, building self-compassion, and creating a life where you don't always have to just survive.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) are methods I often use to help you understand the patterns keeping you stuck and develop practical tools for creating lasting change. CPT and CBT can help you discover the "why" when you want to understand yourself better.
Trauma can shape the way you see yourself, your relationships, and the world around you. My goal is to provide a safe, collaborative space where your experiences are respected, your story is heard, and healing happens at your pace.
I believe everyone has strengths within them and it is essential to feel in control and powerful in your life.

If I could pick all of the options of "what stands out about" her therapy style, I would. She's engaging and a great listener. Her appointments are like meeting with a friend who can actually give you advice and ways to handle life's nonsense. She's professional and very knowledgeable. She gives great advice and challenges me to think about issues in a different way. She knows the right questions to ask to get to the root of the problem, and digs from there.

I took a break from therapy during the holidays and I was really happy to book with Kristin again. She is so warm and welcoming, it's like talking to a friend. I really appreciate her.
