Hidi Moody
If you've been feeling stuck — overwhelmed by anxiety, weighed down by depression, riding the highs and lows of a mood disorder, or struggling to focus and follow through no matter how hard you try, you don't have to figure it out alone. I work with adults who are ready for real, practical support in managing their mental health, whether you're in the middle of a difficult episode and need help stabilizing quickly, or you're looking for a steady partner in your long-term care. I take a collaborative, whole-person approach to medication management, integrating lifestyle medicine alongside prescribing. That means we won't just talk about symptoms — we'll talk about your sleep, movement, nutrition, stress, and relationships, and how each of those pieces affects the way you feel day to day. I know that finding the right treatment can feel like trial and error, and my goal is to make that process feel less overwhelming and more like a plan you understand and trust, one that treats medication as one part of a bigger picture, not the whole story. Whether you're newly diagnosed, switching providers, or in crisis and need care now, I'm here to help you feel more like yourself again.
First session
Together, we'll start by understanding what's going on right now , what's working, what isn't, and what "better" would look like for you in the next month, few months, and beyond. We'll review your history, current symptoms, and any past treatment, and talk honestly about options, including medication and the everyday habits — sleep, movement, nutrition, stress — that shape how you feel, so you understand the reasoning behind every recommendation. You'll leave our first session with a clear plan and a next step you can act on right away, not just a prescription, but an understanding of why it's the right one for you, and how your daily habits fit into the picture. This is a partnership: I'll check in on how things are going, and I want to hear from you too, including what's working and what's not, so we can adjust together.
Strengths
I lead with warmth, honesty, and a healthy sense of humor. Mental health struggles are hard enough without adding a clinical, buttoned-up experience on top, so while I take your care seriously, I don't take myself too seriously, and clients often tell me our sessions feel more like a real conversation than an appointment. Building trust is the foundation of everything I do. I create a space where you can be honest about what's really going on, including the things that feel embarrassing or hard to say out loud, without fear of judgment. And because I practice from a holistic, lifestyle-medicine lens, I look at the full picture of your life — sleep, movement, nutrition, stress — not just symptoms and prescriptions, so the plan we build together actually fits how you live. You deserve a provider who's both clinically sharp and genuinely human. That's what I aim to bring to every session.
Ideal clients
My ideal client is an adult who's ready to feel better and willing to be an active partner in getting there. Maybe you're managing anxiety that won't quiet down, depression that's drained your motivation, the unpredictable swings of a mood disorder, or an ADHD brain that makes follow-through feel impossible no matter how much you want it. Maybe things have gotten urgent, and you need help stabilizing now rather than waiting weeks for relief. You don't need to have it all figured out before our first session. You just need to be open, open to talking honestly about what's going on, open to trying a plan and adjusting it as we learn what works, and open to looking at more than just symptoms, including your sleep, your habits, and your day-to-day life. You're looking for a provider who will take your care seriously without making every conversation feel heavy or clinical.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
In our conversations, I help you notice the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, especially the patterns that quietly fuel anxiety, low mood, or avoidance. We don't just talk about symptoms; we look at what's reinforcing them, so the changes we make together are practical and lasting, not just temporary relief.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I incorporate simple, practical mindfulness tools to help you build awareness of what's happening in the present moment, especially useful for anxiety, mood regulation, and the racing or scattered thinking that often comes with ADHD. These aren't abstract concepts — they're small, usable skills you can practice in daily life, not just in session.
Psychoeducation
I believe you deserve to understand what's happening in your own brain and body — not vague reassurance, but a real explanation of your diagnosis, how your medication works, why we're choosing a particular approach, and what to expect along the way. Understanding the "why" tends to make the "what now" feel much more manageable.

Integrative
Mental and physical health are deeply connected, so I don't treat your symptoms in isolation. I consider how your sleep, medical conditions, medications, and overall lifestyle interact with your mental health, and I collaborate with your other providers when helpful, so your care feels coordinated rather than fragmented. The goal is one clear plan that treats you as a whole person, not a set of separate problems being managed by separate people.
