New to Grow
I like to bring a human, warm side to the therapy space starting with the first session. I offer support, coping strategies and space to get to know yourself more deeply. I use a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, somatic experiencing and humanistic approaches in my work. My clients feel supported, comfortable and free to express themselves fully as we built rapport.
I am authentic and try to match energy with PT, as well as invite open dialogue and conversation to get to know what is important to the client in starting their therapy journey.
My education and background is rooted in social work. Through roles in hospice and senior care, I often faced difficult situations in which support, counseling and empathy was the forefront of my work. This led me to pursue the next step in my career and support more clients in their well being. I am motivated by clients' investment in their own well being.
I enjoy working with adults or older adults seeking to reduce anxiety, depression and/or going through periods of life change. I have experience with and often support those who are in stages of grief. I involve the client in goal formulation and use a person centered approach with cognitive behavioral strategies.
