Hello and welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida. I received my Masters degree from the University of South Florida. I support clients through major life transitions and adjustments. I help folks going through a range of issues in life be it: processing the loss of a loved one, ending of a marriage or relationship, going into retirement, entering adulthood, a new or difficult to manage medical diagnosis, and anything else that life may throw at you.
Our first session focuses on setting expectations for therapy, we'll dive into what brought you to seek out support, talk about your strengths and then figure out our goals.
I'm a compassionate, non-judgemental and transparent clinician. I try to create a space that's comfortable to share what's on your mind. I value my clients self-determination and I will work collaboratively to figure out a plan of action.
My clients often are fearful or having difficulty accepting the transition in their life. My role is to normalize the experience, help my clients feel less alone, and boost their confidence in their own skills/ability to manage stress and in what's possible for their future.
I incorporate values assessments in my session, explore with clients what are the values that are most important in their life and identify any disconnects where changes could be made.
I challenge and teach clients to address distorted thinking that limits them or enables behaviors that keep them from achieving the things they want to accomplish in life.
I see people through the lens of self-actualization and my approach is based on the belief that all people strive to be the best version of themselves.
