Hi! I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Texas. I received my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Abilene Christian University and my Masters in Special Education from Midwestern State University. I have been serving families of children with special needs for 13 years, and doing clinical work for 2 years. I help individuals and families of special needs navigate the complexities of life.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then look into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
Having worked with a variety of families for the past 13 years, I've developed an understanding of some of the nuances that encompass the unique life that involves individuals with special needs and use that to facilitate therapeutic growth.
I love working with individuals and families with special needs loved ones. It is fulfillig to me to help them grow and develop as individuals and a family unit.
Solution Focused Brief Therapy is what I focused on during my masters studies and how I approach clients at the inpatient facility I work at. The focus on hope for the future is one that guides my philosophy for working with clients as they learn to make their own changes.
