Hi, I’m Vida. I’m a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 15 years of healthcare experience, and I’m so glad you’re here. My work has taken me through behavioral health, addiction medicine, and acute medical-surgical care, and it has taught me that every person deserves to be heard and cared for.

Compassionate care

Today I provide psychiatric care, by telehealth, for people navigating mood, anxiety, and psychotic disorders. I take the time to listen, build trust, and create a plan together that feels right for you. If you’re looking for a compassionate, steady partner in your care, I’d be honored to help.

First session

Your first session is a chance to get to know each other. I’ll start by learning about what brought you in, your health history, and what you hope to get out of our work together. We’ll talk openly about your symptoms, your goals, and any medications you’re currently taking. By the end, you’ll have a clearer understanding of what I think is going on and a plan you helped shape, including next steps and what to expect from our ongoing sessions. You’ll leave knowing your questions we will figure out the answers together.

Strengths

In our sessions, I am a calm, steady presence, especially when things feel hard. I conduct a thorough psychiatric assessment, so I take time to understand your whole story before we make any decisions together. I also manage medications carefully and keep a close eye on how your treatment is working, adjusting as your needs change. When a situation becomes urgent, I stay composed and focused on your safety. I also coordinate with your other providers so your care stays connected, and I’ll always advocate for what matters most to you.

Ideal clients

My ideal client is someone who is ready to take an active role in their own mental health, whether they’re just starting to seek help or have been struggling for a long time. I work with people of all ages, from teens to adults and older adults, and I’m especially glad to support those navigating mood, anxiety, or psychotic disorders, as well as individuals working through addiction and recovery. You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out. If you want a compassionate, collaborative provider who will listen closely and work with you toward your goals, I’d love to meet you.

Ongoing work together

After our first visit, we’ll meet regularly to check in on how you’re doing, review your progress, and adjust your treatment as your needs change. If medication is part of your plan, I’ll keep a close eye on how it’s working and make changes together with you. Sessions can take place in person or by video or phone, whichever fits your life best. When it helps, I’ll coordinate with your other providers so everyone is working toward the same goals. Our work will always move at a pace that feels right for you.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

For depression and anxiety, I often use cognitive behavioral therapy, or CBT. It helps you notice the thought patterns that keep you stuck and build practical skills you can use day to day. Together, we’ll identify what’s driving how you feel, test out new ways of responding, and work on changes you can carry with you. CBT is collaborative and goal-focused, and it’s often combined with medication when that’s right for you.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, or ACT, when it fits your goals. ACT helps you make room for difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, so you can focus on what matters most to you and take meaningful steps toward it. We might use it alongside CBT, or on its own, depending on what will help you most.
