Hi, I am a first generation Hispanic American daughter of immigrant parents. Growing up as the oldest daughter of immigrants I have had some huge barriers in my life that brought me to become a counselor to help others with difficulties in their lives. I love helping others be able to overcome their barriers and become empowered. I love helping people with anxiety, ADHD, self esteem, life transitions, and marginalized individuals.
In the first session I get to know your story, the reason you want to be in therapy and we decide your goals for therapy.
I am kind, genuine, and down to earth. I am often able to understand clients struggles in a way that others have a hard time understanding them.
I love helping people become empowered, specially if they are also children of immigrants. I am bilingual and enjoy speaking Spanglish when my clients are also bilingual. I love helping people become empowered and improve their self esteem. I have developed skills to help with ADHD that can be a huge barrier in our lives. Helping people overcome anxiety is great way to help people live a better happier life. I have found that teaching healthy boundaries often help people be able to live happier.

Cognitive Behavioral therapy is used to help a client understand, how their thoughts, beliefs and self talk affect ones emotions and behavior. By questioning these thoughts, and reframing them we can change our emotions and behaviors.

I love Alicia's authenticity, directness, and humor. I've seen a few therapists and never truly felt seen. I never knew the value in being able to speak Spanglish with your therapist until now.

Alicia is a huge blessing even on the first therapy session. Listens with the heart and knows how to relate to me with life experience. I enjoyed her humor and human kindness.
