LMFT, 12 years of experience
Hello! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Florida. With extensive experience in systemic mental health counseling, I specialize in assisting adults who struggle with anxiety, ADHD, self-esteem, emotional regulation, challenging family dynamics, partner issues, parent-adult child conflict, stress management, and significant stage-of-life adjustments. I also provide support to those navigating grief and loss, work-life balance and career-related issues. I aim to empower my clients by enhancing their mental well-being, improving functioning, increasing self confidence and clarity, embracing possibilities and rekindling joy in their lives.
In our initial session, we’ll begin with brief introductions, address any questions you may have, and outline how we will move forward to ensure your comfort. We’ll start by briefly exploring your family history along with your current life experiences and discuss the specific problems or challenges that led you to seek therapy. Together, we’ll identify what you would like to see differently in your life i.e. your initial goals. I’ll share my observations, help to clarify your goal's priorities, while highlighting your strengths and resources, so you can feel reassured that together we can accomplish your desires. By the end of your session we will craft a personalized plan towards achieving your goals and you'll receive optional out- of-session homework and an actionable activity to reinforce positives we uncovered in our first session. I aim to provide a supportive and productive therapeutic journey that sets you up for success in this process.
Throughout my years of practice, I have honed a proven approach to assist my clients in achieving their personal and relational goals. My approach combines warmth, empathy, and evidence-based techniques to create a safe space for growth, healing and transformation. Working together, we’ll identify your specific challenges and develop a personalized plan that leads to measurable progress. My focus is on practical solutions and positive change, emphasizing your goals and strengths.
With Grow Therapy, my passion and focus lie in working with women, each at a unique juncture in life. Whether the issues present are related to unhealthy personal, family or work relationships, dealing with mental health, grief and loss, life-stressors, self-care, stage-of-life transitions, the result is that my clients often experience a complex mix of emotions, such as anxiety, sadness, fear, or self-doubt. Many also feel a sense of overwhelm, frustration, resentment and stress from juggling multiple roles, such as parent-spouse-caregiver and/or business professional or college student. Collaboratively, I guide my clients in overcoming obstacles through a positive, practical, solution-oriented approach. I emphasize their strengths, help to enhance coping strategies, increase awareness and understanding, address negative patterns, improve communication and assertiveness, and create a roadmap toward a more balanced and fulfilled life.
I have extensive experience using Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) as a primary therapeutic approach over many years. This evidence-based approach has empowered countless clients to tackle mental and emotional health challenges head on. Whether it’s anxiety, self-esteem, life stressors, coping mechanisms, relationship issues, or unhelpful behaviors, we will work collaboratively with you being the expert of your life and experience. Together we will set meaningful and achievable goals, explore the factors contributing to your challenges while highlighting your strengths. Our focus will be on positive, practical, solution building in a non-judgmental manner. The aim is to enhance your present life and create the future you desire.
I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with Solution Focused therapy to help clients recognize and change distorted thinking patterns that might be holding them back. This approach empowers clients to enhance their clarity of thought, make better life decisions, and solve problems more effectively. We will partner together to help you reduce debilitating thought patterns associated with anxiety or other mental health conditions, equipping you to better manage stress and improve your quality of life.
For many years I have utilized Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) in my therapeutic work. With this evidence-based approach, we focus on developing and enhancing your mindfulness skills, reducing reactive behaviors, improving your emotional regulation. Together, we address distressing emotions, foster acceptance and self-compassion, enhance interpersonal relationships, and commit to growth in challenging situations. Additionally, you will learn how to respond effectively in challenging life situations rather than reacting impulsively, allowing you to navigate adversity with greater resilience and increased intentionality.
