As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I'm passionate about providing compassionate, personalized mental healthcare for individuals ages 6 and up. My own journey with ADHD, anxiety, and depression has given me a deep understanding of the challenges many of you face. This isn't just my profession; it's a personal mission to create a safe space where you can be seen, heard, and understood without judgment.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The idea of a first session can feel a little intimidating, but my goal is to make you feel comfortable and empowered from the very beginning. Think of our first meeting as a conversation where we get to know each other. It's not a test, and there's no pressure to have all the answers. We'll start by talking about what brought you to see me You can share as much or as little as you're comfortable with. I’ll ask questions about your background, your health history, and what you’re hoping to achieve. We’ll discuss your symptoms and how they impact your daily life, your relationships, and your work or school. This initial session is also your chance to ask me anything you'd like. It’s important that you feel confident and comfortable with me as your provider. My job is to listen carefully, understand your story, and collaborate with you to begin building a plan. By the end of our session, we'll have a clear starting point for your mental wellness journey. We may discuss potential diagnoses and treatment options, including medication or brief psychotherapy, and we'll decide together on the next steps. My hope is that you'll leave feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about what's ahead.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength is my ability to connect with my clients on a personal level. I don’t just see a diagnosis; I see you—your unique story, your strengths, and your challenges. My own experiences with ADHD, anxiety, and depression have given me a unique perspective. I've been in your shoes, so I know what it feels like to struggle and to seek help. This personal understanding allows me to offer genuine empathy and a non-judgmental space where you can feel truly comfortable. I believe in a collaborative and holistic approach to mental health care. I see us as a team, working together to develop a plan that is right for you. My approach combines: Evidence-Based Medication Management: I stay current on the latest research to ensure you receive the safest and most effective medication care. I’ll explain how and why certain medications work, discussing the benefits and potential side effects so you can make an informed decision. Brief, Goal-Oriented Psychotherapy: While my primary focus is medication management, I also incorporate therapeutic techniques to help you build coping skills, reframe negative thought patterns, and navigate daily life with greater confidence. Empowerment: My ultimate goal is to empower you. I’m here to provide the tools and support you need to feel in control of your mental wellness, helping you move from simply coping to truly thriving. The greatest result I hope to achieve is not just a reduction in symptoms, but a significant improvement in your quality of life. I am committed to helping you nurture your mind so you can feel confident, capable, and ready to bloom in every area of your life.

My treatment methods

Psychoeducation

I use psychoeducation in my practice to empower patients with knowledge about their mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies. It’s a core component of both my medication management and brief psychotherapy sessions.

Supportive

I use supportive psychotherapy to help patients with a wide range of mental health conditions, including ADHD, anxiety, and depression. This approach focuses on strengthening a person's coping mechanisms and supporting their existing strengths. It’s an ideal complement to medication management, and it’s especially helpful for patients who may not be ready or able to engage in more intensive therapy.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a core component of my practice, particularly for patients with anxiety, depression, and ADHD. CBT is a practical, goal-oriented approach that helps patients identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to their mental health challenges. It’s an effective complement to medication management.
