Hello, I’m Jason Wilcox-Harden, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner based in Georgia. I work with adults facing depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and grief. With 3 years of clinical experience, I’ve learned that many people—especially those in rural communities—struggle not because they aren’t trying, but because the available treatment often hasn’t truly met their needs. I provide personalized medication management and psychotherapy, taking time to understand each person’s story and what hasn’t worked for them in the past. My goal is to offer care that feels accessible, supportive, and genuinely effective. Above all, I want my clients to feel heard and empowered. You don’t have to manage everything alone. I’m here to help you feel better, regain balance, and move toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.
During our first session, we’ll start with a relaxed conversation and simple introductions so we can get to know each other in a comfortable way. I’ll gently walk you through some questions about your personal history—your past experiences, any mental health concerns you’ve faced, and what’s weighing on you right now. This helps me understand your story and how I can best support you. From there, we’ll create a treatment plan together, guided by your goals, your comfort level, and what feels right for you. This may include medication management, therapy, or a combination of approaches. My hope is that from the very beginning, you feel cared for, listened to, and supported as we start this journey toward healing and improved well-being
Working in a rural community has given me the chance to help adults from all walks of life, each with their own story and challenges. My approach is pretty simple—I listen, I try to really understand what you’re going through, and I make sure you have a comfortable space to talk about it. I like to treat this as a team effort. We’ll make decisions together and figure out a plan that actually fits your life and your goals. When you feel involved and supported, the process feels easier, more empowering, and ultimately more effective.
I’m here to support adults dealing with all kinds of mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and grief. My goal is to offer care that feels compassionate, personalized, and grounded in what actually works. I try to make the process feel comfortable and supportive, while using evidence-based approaches to guide treatment. More than anything, I want to help you build the coping skills you need, work toward your goals, and feel a real difference in your day-to-day life
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
A fundamental aspect of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is helping clients recognize unhelpful thoughts and behaviors. I can guide clients through this process, helping them identify changeable patterns and practice new behaviors in their daily lives.
