Hi, I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in New York. I earned my Master’s degree from the University of New Hampshire and have been supporting clients for over eight years. I work with adults navigating life transitions, stress, and mental health challenges such as anxiety and depression. My goal is to help you process your experiences, heal from what’s holding you back, and grow into the version of yourself you’ve always imagined.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we will begin the process of getting to know each other and building rapport. I will gather some history and explore what brought you to therapy and how I can help you. We will explore your goals and what we can do to help you achieve them. Together, we will create a treatment plan that meets your needs, meets you where you are at, and is customized specifically to you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths as a provider are not only my experience but my passion for the work that I do. I am personable and friendly and find that my approach is received really well by others. I am skilled in helping you identify the root cause of present issues and symptoms as well as incorporating a person-centered approach. My goal is to help others and even if we find that we aren’t a good fit, I will do everything I can to make sure you find a provider that will help you reach your goals.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I primarily work with adults aged 18 and over who are experiencing various life stressors and transitions. From family and relationship issues, depression, anxiety, grief, anger, adjustment, and other issues, I can work with you to help you achieve your goals. My clients are motivated to change but struggle to understand their circumstances and don’t have the tools, skills, and resources to reach their goals. Some of my patients struggle with ambivalence and might have barriers in terms of overall change. These are also areas that we will work together to address.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is the central modality of my practice and I have been using it for over 8 years. With CBT, you will learn how to challenge unhelpful thoughts, learn how to deal with overwhelming problems in a more positive way, and how to change negative patterns to improve the way you feel.

Grief Therapy

I received Grief Therapy and Grief Informed Care training through Pesi last spring. I have a lot of experience working with those struggling with any type of loss. Grief therapy plays an important role in the healing process and if this is an area that you need help with, we will incorporate various grief techniques to help you grieve, process, and continue maintain a connection with your deceased loved one.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use ACT to help clients build psychological flexibility — learning to accept difficult thoughts and emotions instead of fighting them. I often incorporate defusion techniques, mindfulness, and values work to help clients move toward meaningful actions, even in the presence of discomfort. It’s especially helpful for clients stuck in avoidance, perfectionism, or fear of uncertainty.

Compassion Focused

I use Compassion-Focused Therapy to help clients reduce shame and self-criticism by building a kinder, more supportive inner voice. I often incorporate imagery, soothing techniques, and psychoeducation on the threat, drive, and soothing systems to help clients regulate emotions and develop self-compassion.

Christian Counseling

I offer Christian counseling for clients who want to integrate their faith into the therapeutic process. I support them in exploring how their beliefs, values, and spiritual practices can be a source of healing, hope, and direction while addressing emotional and relational challenges.
