Hi, I'm Nicole! I know it can be difficult to take that first step in getting help, like it was for me as a young adult with a chronic illness, who was also newly married. This was a challenging time for me because I wasn't feeling like myself and I was away from my support system. I was sad and tearful most days, worried about being ill, and what my life would look like in this new reality. Do you feel like you haven't been yourself lately? Maybe you no longer know who that person is. Are you having trouble getting out of bed? Do you notice you no longer enjoy the things you used to love? Or are you just finding it difficult to get motivated to do anything? If you've answered yes to any of these questions then you're in the right place. Therapy helped me get through many rough patches and I know it can help you too. My passion is working with adults experiencing life transitions, depression, anxiety, trauma, and women's issues. I have over 20 years of experience working in the mental health field, with 11 of those years as a clinician in different capacities including residential, outpatient, and crisis settings. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session will be an opportunity for us to discuss what brought you to therapy, the challenges you've been facing, and how it has impacted your life. We will collaborate on goals for your treatment plan, which will be our guide for treatment.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I utilize cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, and client-centered approaches. Although I believe you’re an expert on yourself, sometimes you need help to translate and navigate that expertise, and that’s where I come in. We work together to figure out why you do the things you do. We explore how past experiences, core beliefs, and negative thought patterns impact your current relationships, mood, and behaviors.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My strength has always been in working with women. I provide them with tools to be able to cope with daily stressors, the confidence to trust their own instincts, better express and communicate their needs in relationships, and find solutions to problems that arise in their lives.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Women, depression, anxiety, life transitions, work-related stressors, chronic illnesses, self-esteem.
