New to Grow
Are you feeling overwhelmed, anxious or stuck? Wanting things to feel calmer, clearer or more manageable but not sure how to get there? Please understand that you do not have to navigate this alone. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who provides a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can slow down, feel heard, and begin processing what you are experiencing. I work with children, adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, behavior difficulties and emotional regulation.
Starting therapy can be scary and it is completely normal to feel unsure or a little nervous. During our first session my goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, heard and respected. We'll spend time getting to know you; what you have been experiencing and what you hope to gain from therapy. Please don't feel pressured to share everything at once, we will move at a pace that feels right for you. I may ask questions about your background, current challenges, and relevant history to better understand your needs. Together, we will identify goals and discuss how I can support you moving forward. Most importantly, this session is also an opportunity for you to get a feel for me and ask any questions you may have. Therapy is a collaborative process and finding the right fit matters.
My greatest strengths include building strong therapeutic relationships, providing individualized, evidence-based care and creating a space in which clients feel genuinely seen, heard and understood. I am highly skilled in communication, allowing me to meet clients where they are while helping them gain clarity, insight and practice tools for change. I also prioritize collaboration and treatment planning to ensure each client's goals are clearly defined and meaningfully addressed. My empathetic approach helps clients process their experiences and also build real-life tools for growth.
My experience as a mental health provider includes treating all client populations (children, adolescents and adults). More than half of my career as a mental health provider has been within a role serving adolescents. I have worked with adolescents in various settings including acute care, private practice, intensive outpatient, school based, day treatment and community counseling. Areas of focus include trauma-informed therapy, depression, anxiety, behavior modification, ADHD, OCD and ODD.
