(she/her)
Hello! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Atlanta, Georgia. I grew up on the West Coast, in Oregon and California. I earned my Master's from San Diego State University and have provided therapeutic services for 14 years. I meet clients where they are in life to help guide and support them in accomplishing their therapeutic goals.
During the first session, we will review the intake form and allow you to elaborate on your experience with therapy and what brings you to therapy now. I will then dive right in, inquiring about what is disrupting your life and what your goals are for treatment. For example, how will you know that therapy has helped you or that you have gotten what you needed? If the initial session is for couples or families, I will assess safety subtly and speak with each member individually as needed. This is to ensure that all perspectives are heard and understood. Your unique experiences and viewpoints are essential. I am here to provide expert support and tailored therapy services. You are the expert in your life, and I will work with you to find the best solutions. I offer personalized and practical support through an eclectic array of therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral, narrative, and solution-focused therapies. Please be advised that, without prior notice, I will only provide a 15-minute grace period at the beginning of sessions; after that, your appointment will be canceled and marked as a no-show, which will incur a $75 charge.
Through my unique blend of personal and professional experiences, I have cultivated a deep understanding of human nature. I provide a safe and nonjudgmental environment for exploring life's endless possibilities and achieving genuine self-awareness.
I specialize in providing support to individuals seeking a deeper understanding of themselves. This understanding includes those facing challenges related to body image, sexual assault, sexual or gender identity, and individuals looking to understand how their sexuality impacts their lives. I create a safe space for individuals to become comfortable in their skin, unlocking their unique potential. My expertise also extends to addressing the unique American experiences of people of color, which often coincide with conditions such as social and general anxiety, depression, OCD, and PTSD resulting from childhood or adulthood traumas.

Depending on the client's needs, I implement techniques from Narrative, Solution-Focused, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapies.
Narrative
Explore the story we develop through our lives. We make more helpful and accurate adjustments while developing an understanding of the words and stories we use.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
Sometimes, going back in time is not the most helpful, so this technique allows us to start in the present and how we move forward with the issues directly in front of us.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Our thoughts impact how we behave, and how we behave affects our thoughts. We work together to adjust one to impact the other so that they are aligned with what we need in life.

Liz was such a pleasant first experience. Felt so comfortable talking to her.

I hate that I could only choose 2 of the characteristics above because I feel like Liz embodied pretty much all of them. I already feel safe expressing myself and I’m looking forward to future sessions. She asks great questions and I feel like she’s a great fit for me as a therapist.
