My name is Mindy, I am a licensed therapist in GA, and I am excited about taking the first steps together on your journey to wellness!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I provide a safe, non-judgmental environment for you to openly talk about your feelings and goals. I focus on identifying unhelpful thoughts that may lead to your emotional distress and healthy coping strategies. I explore how trauma may have shaped your interpretation of events. I look forward to you scheduling an appointment and partnering with myself to obtain support, and develop solutions to support your personal growth and change!

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I use cognitive behavioral therapy to address problematic substance use. We will work together to identify thoughts (“I need a drink or drugs to help me with my anxiety”) that lead to alcohol or drug use. We will learn ways to challenge and reframe those thoughts so that they don’t lead to problematic substance use.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am an expert in building a strong connection with my clients and helping them to feel comfortable sharing their story. I am known for my compassionate and understanding approach. I specialize in getting to the root of issues and overcoming them.
