Jen Basch
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have been practicing for seven years. I have experience working with individuals, couples, and families coping with stress and anxiety related to work, peers, family and intimate relationships, and just their day-to-day life. In the first session we will get to know each other to make sure I am the best fit for you for you to meet your specific therapy goals. Therapy is not a one size fits all. It is important to find a therapist who you can develop a strong rapport with, as this is one of the most important pieces to making progress in therapy.
First session
In the first session we will get to know each other to make sure I am the best fit for you for you to meet your specific therapy goals. Therapy is not a one size fits all. Strengths
I use a casual, coaching approach informed by my clinical training and expertise.
Ideal clients
I have experience working with individuals, couples, and families. In a therapy setting I focus on working with individuals. Most of my clients come to me who are working on building their coping strategies with stress and anxiety related to work, peers, family and intimate relationships, and just their day-to-day life. I follow my client's lead on goal setting and understand that goals can shift and grow overtime.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is my favorite modality and can be applied for many different issues.
Motivational Interviewing
This method helps me ensure I am hearing you and your needs.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I encourage mindfulness as a way to stay in the present, which offers relief from many different issues.
Trauma-Focused CBT
Similar to regular CBT, TF-CBT can be applied for many different issues when trauma symptoms are at play.
