About me

My approach is collaborative and person-centered that are rounded in empathy, safety, and deep active listening. I work collaboratively with clients to identify their unique needs, establish meaningful treatment goals, and develop an approach that feels right for them. I provide a safe and welcoming space for individuals seeking mental health support and personalized care to help you achieve your goals and improve your well-being.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is the greatest opportunity for us to get to know each other and discuss what brings you to therapy. I have a strong belief in moving according to each client's comfortability and the first session is a great way to get a better understanding of what experiences have brought you to this moment and the pace you would like to set.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Using practical, evidence-based techniques in a compassionate, nonjudgmental space, I create clear, achievable plans that move you from feeling stuck to confident, calm, and in control. My communication style is compassionate, understanding, and grounded in creating a safe and supportive space for clients to feel heard and understood. I use validation to acknowledge and honor each client’s experiences while helping them explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors without judgment.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are individuals and couples seeking support with anxiety, relationship challenges, and women’s issues. I have also enjoyed working with college-aged students in managing stress or adapting to changing circumstances and environments. As a person of color, I have enjoyed working with marginalized communities to allow them to create a safe space to discuss how their upbringing and culture has shaped their experiences and how to incorporate them into treatment modalities as well.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I use a person-centered or humanistic theory which focuses on creating a safe, caring, and non-judgmental space where clients feel heard and accepted. Instead of telling the client what to do, I listen closely, show genuine understanding, and help clients explore their own feelings, needs, and goals. There is a larger idea in this theory that people have the ability to grow and make positive changes when they feel supported and understood.
