I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). I graduated from the Boston College School of Social Work, where I acquired a diverse array of therapeutic strategies designed to empower individuals in their personal journeys. I use a holistic framework in my practice, blending a variety of techniques to create a tailored therapeutic experience for each client. I also work closely with the client to identify which techniques they prefer.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During the initial session, I will gather a history of the presenting issue and how it is currently impacting you. I hope to establish a positive rapport with you and lay the foundation for a positive therapeutic relationship.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength as a provider is connecting with my clients and listening closely to their thoughts/feelings. By listening closely, we can often discover the root of the problem and then implement strategies to help support the client.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My primary focus has been on supporting individuals grappling with depression and anxiety, whether these challenges stem from lifelong struggles or specific situational triggers. I am is particularly passionate about working with clients who are struggling with their or a loved ones medical journeys. I have worked with many new parents who are struggling with the transition to parenthood and postpartum/peripartum depression. Through empathetic guidance, I aim to help individuals find resilience and hope during their most challenging times.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I would help clients accept difficult thoughts and feelings rather than fight them, and commit to actions aligned with their values. I would use Present-Moment Awareness, Cognitive Defusion, and Acceptance as interventions in the session.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I would help the client identify and change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors by identifying problem areas, exploring thoughts and beliefs, and teaching coping skills.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I would help clients manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and develop healthier coping strategies. I would validate emotion and teach the 4 pillars of DBT exploring which ones the client struggles with the most.
